My assistant put in her notice so I'm in the process of reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews.
Why don't people spell check?! Oh, and one candidate had a great resume but when I called the schedule the interview she let me know that "she may have elaborated" on some things.

I interview a lot now but the decision on who to interview is made by my boss so I don't get to see the stinkers. At my last job I used to do all of the undergrad intern hiring.
I had some fun resumes come through. There was always a lot of "please use spell check in the future" and "please google how to format a resume" applications. My favorite I ever received though was an eight page CV with a two page cover letter from what I figured out was a 19 or 20yo at best. Her CV went back to babysitting jobs and her cover letter detailed her philosophies on life and her life goals and ambitions. It was absolutely ridiculous.
For some reason a lot of people ask me to look at their resume and edit/give advice.
My brothers was the most recent. The dates were a mess. He apparently had 4 jobs all at once. Some he did like "end date - start date" and some were reversed. Spelled out dates and numbered dates. It was weird.
The first time I ever interviewed someone, it was abundantly clear that he didn’t want to the job that was posted. He wanted MY job. And when we were talking he said something to the effect of “Are you going to be okay giving up these responsibilities?” That was pretty awkward.
H works for a not for profit - a youth organization. He usually likes to ask a kid-oriented icebreaker question to loosen the candidates up a little bit.
He asked, "if you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?" And the person, without missing a beat, yelled, "JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY SUPER HERO I WILL EVER NEED!!!" Like, legit raised his voice.
H is a Christian, and even he was like... Uhh. Ok. lol.
I'd have to say that if I didn't overlook spelling/detail errors, I wouldn't ever have more than 2 people to interview (if I'm lucky I'd get 2). In an interview I asked, "what do you do when you have down time at work?" and he responded with, "sometime I just space out." He actually mentioned spacing out several times during his interview. So weird.
I supervised student workers when I worked at a university.
We had an opening and interviewed 5 candidates. One of them spent the whole interview bitching about how much school work she had and how hard life was. We did not hire her.

I always like the people that didn't go get a work specific email address (if they didn't have one already) so instead of something normal like NAME+Birthday they send in a resume from SEXYBADGER69.
There was also the guy who, in his interview, said "oh I didn't really do that, it was just part of the job description when I applied so I copied it down." He was a recent college grad, so we let him know he should probably only include things he actually knew how to do on his resume. Particularly, when the things would be a selling point toward "work experience."
I love the interview process! We had one candidate this round admit to pirating music on his phone and one a few rounds ago that when we asked why she was changing positions started word vomiting about how horrible the school, school district, area, and population was where she was at (it was an admin position). I happen to live in that area, my future children would go to that school, and I went to that school. She also needed at least 15 days off the first year because her and her husband have free trips to Vegas at least once a month.
Yes. And he said "Oh, I brought this in to show the work I did on this part," and pointed to some zombie figures at the bottom of his print. And H's boss said, "No, I made those, too. And you know how I know it's mine? Because that's MY BODY. I took pictures of myself and turned them into zombie figures." And then the interview was over.
