Now I'm feeling self conscious about being a hipster.
I think I get closer to being a hipster every day that I live and work in this metro area... Nothing wrong with it if you have some awareness!
My main reaction to this lady is intense jealousy that she can afford to live in [presumably expensive, hipster] Brooklyn, work a flexible part-time job, and still send her laundry out, eat artisinal food, and support her husband who has a hobby rather than a career. That sounds awesome!
ETA: Also, no facebook friends in common with her! And the only baby named Rocco I know of lives in Ohio. But I do have three facebook friends with daughters named Signe.

She seems overly self-involved. I would love for my DH to come to a clean house and warm dinner every night. But for whatever reason I cannot pull it off. If he treated me like she treats her husband we would be in trouble.

I can't either. I only have 1 kid 8-3pm & she won't cut me any slack. I shower, do dishes & maybe a load of laundry while she's napping...but while she's awake, she terrorizes me & her demands never end. If only I could tolerate crying or had a padded sound proof room for her I'd get a lot more done.
Well. This thread did make me appreciate my super awesome SAHD DH even more. He does have a home cooked dinner on the table every night when I get home. And it's damn good. But if I sense he's having a rough day I suggest takeout. This woman sounds like an ass who doesn't appreciate her H at all.
