Ryder has a black eye he stood up in his high chair when we were out to dinner the other night and MH was trying to get him to sit down and he slipped and hit his face on the table. I'm so sad that he will have a black eye in all of his halloween pictures.

Time for a costume change! Silk boxers and a robe? Make him a mini-Rocky!

I am REALLY glad I am lucky enough to live in a town & neighborhood where I don't feel it is necessary to have a gun in my home for protection though. But I realize not everyone is so lucky, to live somewhere very safe.
I know lots of people in Baltimore City. None of them own guns. I know just as many people in my middle-of-nowhere town. They all own guns.
Nothing makes sense.
I know someone in Baltimore City who owns MANY guns, including multiple silencers. She's my friend's ex and is batshit crazy.
If you see a hot girl with crazy eyes and anarchy tattoos working at an art gallery near you, RUN.
I stupidly through out a hyperbolic and not-flattering opinion on Waldorf schools last night, hanging out with some mom friends, and it turns out one of my friends sends her kid to a Waldorf preschool. I was so embarassed and totally ate my words.
Her school sounds pretty normal compared to some of the horror stories I've seen on GBCN though. I had to pretend that it was a "family friend" I'd heard them from and totally conceded that they were extreme examples. I do think it's really weird that they won't teach children letters or numbers though, even when asked by the child.
New Year's Resolution 2015: MYOB and keep my mouth shut on school and parenting philosophies.
Did you give the example of the 5yo kicked out for bringing the classroom down by grieving his mom too long? Sorry
