We're having a pizza lunch and they said costumes are allowed.
A few (young) people dressed up last year, but nothing too involved ... masks, cat ears, cowboy hats, etc.
I don't plan to wear a costume, but I have a black scarf with cats on it so maybe I'll wear that. I had a devil horns headband once upon a time that I sometimes wore to hockey games, but I have no idea where it is.

I'm wearing my full costume for work tomorrow. We have a costume contest and everything.
My costume involves an ankle length dress so I'm sure it is conservative compared to some. I'm a but worried about leaving a trail of glitter around the office.

We don't dress up at my office.
DH's office takes the costume contest very, very seriously. He has a costume for our party, but is not dressing up for work because it pales in comparison to the other costumes and he doesn't want to be mocked. People either wear normal clothes or go all out.
Dressing up and team costumes are a "thing" at my job. I don't feel like being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, so I'm not sure if I'm dressing up. FI has a hazmat suit and mask kicking around from an old job, but I'm worried that would be too edgy with all the ebola hysteria. (devil)
Wearing one today. My employees did Mario Bros so I got Princess Daisy (the yellow one). I didn't go over the top except the crown. Otherwise now that I've lost the crown, I just look really dressy. They on the other hand are in overalls and fake mustaches.
It's "highly encouraged" at work and I have to be seen as a team player, so I have a flapper costume in the works.
Though I just saw an Allstate Mayhem ad and I could totally pull hum off this year
This. The highly encouraged / team player part. I'm going as the we can do it woman on the Westinghouse poster from ww2. I have the framed poster hanging in my office.
