She went ToTing with her friends and they stopped at one girl's house, and decided to watch Halloween. With the girl's parents. I have a strong feeling that there might be nightmares tonight. Ugh.
Wtf? I'd be so pissed at the parents. Although my 7yo told me she watched Dracula at school. And Michael Jackson's Thriller video. Why why why? She is actually SCARED of Scooby Doo FFS.
My aunt and I rented all the Halloween movies one time when she spent the night with me when we were like 12 and 14. While we were watching them in the living room my mom went out the back door and snuck around to the front of the house and started scratching on the front door and making noise and scared the SHIT out of us, lol. We thought it was funny when we found out it was her but for a few seconds I almost peed myself.
I'd be mad at the parents too. Hope your kiddo is able to sleep tonight!
I'd be so mad. I was annoyed when I found out Abby had seen Lion King in her kindergarten classroom (I know it's Disney, but some of those scenes are pretty intense for a 5-year-old).

My dad has no boundaries/common sense when it comes to scary movies. I remember coming home from school when I was 6 with my Get Along Gang lunch box and watching one off the Child's Play movies with him. My kid can't handle watching Aladdin.

I looove horror movies. I watched my first one (Child's Play) when I was 5 and hiding behind the bookshelves so no one knew I was there. I didn't get nightmares from them, thankfully.
That being said I would not be happy with those parents and I feel like that's something they should have run past you first.

She is completely passed out. Fell asleep so hard, she didn't even twitch when I scrubbed her makeup off. Let's hope this lasts through the night, and all next week when H is out of town on business (again).

Lol I am sorry i can't stop laughing at this
I know it seems silly, and certainly doesn't compare to the movie Halloween.
My brother liked horror movies at a young age and my parents and grandparents had no desire to set limits on movies. I saw more horror movies from ages 5-10 than I have in the following 20 years after that. I can't handle scary movies now but in fairness the movies we saw were kinda cheesy/scary 70s and 80s. The scary movies out now are fucking terrifying. I refuse to ever go in an attic of any kind after watching Rec at my brothers house. Damn it Michael!
Yea I'm another where that movie is too scary for me! My son and I watched his first scary movie together last night and he's 9! But I wouldn't let him watch Halloween we watched Scream. He wasn't scared (I was! Lol)

I watched lots of scary movies when I was that age and it didn't have much of an effect on me until I was older. Hopefully she was too young or distracted to understand what was going on.
