I thought we were getting her a mini trampoline with bar but now I've decided she's too little and that will be better next year. I thought I was adamantly opposed to play kitchens and the inherent mess they bring but she loves them at our friend's house. That will likely be for her second birthday though...so maybe just lots of little things. I already have an embarrassing number of things tucked away.
Us too. We are behind the curve, we meant to get it for H when he turned 4 in August.
My mom got DD a bike last year and she wasn't interested in it at all really this summer. And she also turned 4 in August, I don't think you're behind the curve .
My boys are 6 and 4 and are Lego crazy so I'm sure we will get them a couple sets plus Mixels or Chima for their stockings. I don't know what else to out on their lists though. Maybe a marble run? And I have no idea what to get dd.
DD is getting the Kidcraft dollhouse and accessories. Bristle blocks Lincoln logs Art supplies/little stuff.
DS is getting Citrus Lane. I should have 2 boxes to wrap up by then.
And they're both getting a ton of books (I found some cute ones in the book order and putmeinthestory.com)
I'm trying not to overkill it from us (because everyone else will) and where I will overkill it is consumable stuff. I kicked myself off Amazon over the weekend and it has tamed my shopping spree a bit.
Grandma and I just decided today that DS is getting a sitnspin and DD is getting a toy washmachine from her (with other stuff).
@lcap: Sitnspin is on amazon deals in about 15 minutes. DD always hated them at daycare so we never had one. DS seems like the sort of kid that would love it...ha.

I know my mom will buy him random toys so he will get plenty of gifts.
We are only getting him Christmas pajamas and the Melissa and Doug tunnel.
My H has a huge aversion to clutter so we are trying to avoid buying him toys until he's old enough to ask for what he wants.I just hope our parents can reign it in.
They want for nothing and I'm trying to be somewhat minimalist, but I'm sure we will add a lot more in the coming weeks.
So far, DD1 (3.5ish) is getting a Curious George book set for beginning readers, tracing books (she devours these and I need to find more), the BNL kids' CD, Doc McStuffins' Operation game. Thinking about a globe, maybe a scooter... not sure about that.
DD2 (1) is getting books, dot markers, probably socks, uh...(?).
We will make donations in the their honor somewhere for Christmas, but I haven't figured out where yet. I will probably give DD1 two options and let her pick hers this time.
ryry, if you go with a trampoline, consider getting one with an adult weight limit. That is my one regret with the one I bought last year. I would have liked the option of jumping on it too to work out, but it didn't occur to me until after we had had ours for awhile.

I haven't bought anything yet. DS1 (2.5) will likely get some Cars merchandise or maybe a fire engine, some new books, and stocking stuffers. I was also thinking he might like a tent to play in, but I don't know if I want that set up in my house all the time.
I'm a little stumped for DS2 (he'll be almost 3mo) but I'll just wander the aisles of Babies R Us and pick him up a few small things for his stocking, and maybe a Jellycat plush to match his brother's.

I haven't thought about it much yet.
She's 3. Maybe some dress up stuff, some books, and Frozen related things. We thought about a bike, but idk. She already has a balance bike that she still loves.

You are my hero.
It's just too perfect with the teepee I can't resist this year. Lol
dd1 is getting a bunk bed if we ever get around to making it. dd2 will probably get a bitty baby. I think we'll also get a set of magnatiles from santa.
Santa is getting them a combo gift this year. I just got this on Amazon (Prime of course) for $57.99. It's a Swing & Slide Seesaw spinner. They are both going to go apeshit because anytime we see these at play grounds they LOVE LOVE LOVE to play with it. This one is extra cool because it spins too.
Now that we have the Santa Gift out of the way, I also plan to do the following gifts under the tree.
DD (Almost 5) A ton of Frozen stuff: Includes Bedside Clock, Jewelry, Hair stuff, Jammies, T-shirt, Coloring books etc. Also, Pink Uggs (Knock off Costco brand)
DS (Almost 3) Thomas the Train Book Table top Air hockey game Sleeping Bag Alvin & Chipmunks DVD Walkie Talkies
art station: desk, chair, IKEA easel, and a cart filled with art supplies. pug purse from Gymboree books: some new Usborne books and the sequel to "Press Here" more play food from Green Toys

My 8 year old is getting a new bike (his is a 14 incher and he is big enough for a 20 incher - it's time), Disney Marvel Infinity, we always give him an iTunes gift card in his stocking so he can put new songs on his iPod and a few smaller things from us. I know my parents got him some lego sets, a cookbook and a book about the NBA.
My baby, who will be 9 months exactly on Christmas day, is getting an anywhere chair, a learning table, and a few smaller things from us. And I know my parents got him a Duplo set, this gears toy and a little people airplane.

Art supplies. Crayons, paper, finger paints, and the like. We're basically doing verrrry little beyond that, though. We are going on a huge vacay so, that is gift enough for all of us. Plus, I just don't think DD needs anything. She 14 months.

DD is 5. We've already purchased…
Gifts: -LeapTV with the dancing game. -WonderWoman outfit, simple extra outfit, and a Hello Kitty purse for her BuildABear
Stocking:
-Hello Kitty purse -5 or 6 Lego Minifigs -Some Supergirl and WonderWoman girly products: sparkly red nail polish, stick on nails, chapstick -3 pairs of 'Nightmare Before Christmas' socks -This weird egg thing that you drop in a glass of water and over 2 days it slowly cracks and an alligator hatches and grows. It's weird. We like to do at least one weird, gag gift type thing.
We're still getting…
I don't know. Her stocking definitely seems done. I thought we were done with gifts, but typing it out makes it look really pathetic. The LeapTV and game were nearly $200 on their own though. Maybe we'll splurge on something else or grab a couple simple things to round it out. Maybe the rest of Scooby Doo Team Up comic series, a BF Lego set, or some Super Hero Mashers. She's been eyeing the Super Hero Mashers for a while now and it doesn't seem like anyone else in the family will buy it for her.
I think the grandparents and great-grandparents on my side will buy her Legos and LeapTV games. MIL will probably get her something VeggieTale, as usual.
Plasma car (but might save for his birthday or Easter) Rody (CL buy) Magnatiles (holding out still for a good deal on Amazon) Little People retro schoolhouse Little People retro barn B. Toys bus that rumbles and rolls
Stocking: M&D paintbrushes Paints Tegu blocks set Color wonder pages Books
ryry DS has a Janome Turbo Teal machine. They were on zulily recently though I got it on amazon. There are various colors. It has a nice foot with guards that stick up so it it harder to stick a finger under the needle. I recommend it for kids.
We've told DS Santa only brings one or two gifts because he has a lots of kids to visit. The elves make it too, so he won't ask for Legos because there is a factory for that. He mentioned asking for a bow and arrow.
DS is 6. His list is:
Lego arctic ship and tent guys Magic tree house book set Trying to decide on something to wear Stocking will have some lego guys, mixels, and Pokemon card pack
Santa is bringing an ikea juggling set and something else. We plan to get him a swing set in the spring (buying FIL's house but no sense setting it up in winter) so was thinking of ordering a fun swing for it and putting that in the Santa bag or maybe rollerblades, but again couldn't really use til spring.
