Sorry @buckybells. Job hunting is such a stressful process. Hope you find something soon!
I am so happy it's Friday. This week has been exhausting dealing with the house remodel and a crazy week at work.
I'm shopping for house stuff (lights, fixtures, etc.) tonight. Tomorrow I have a hair appointment and tentative plans with Tinder guy. I'm hoping we can do something nice and relaxing.
I'm trying so hard to stick with a healthy eating plan but all I crave is food that is bad for me.
I'm struggling with this too. After a long day, I just want to go home and eat crap and drink wine. I keep telling myself I am going to start eating better tomorrow. But then tomorrow becomes the next day which becomes the next day.
I am seriously twitterpated and have no clue if he even has any interest. He's SOOOOO different from my ex. Which is a good thing.
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF.
Have you asked him out for coffee or a drink?

No, but we hang out a decent amount. We share mutual friends whose house we hang out at usually once a week, plus we're in 2 church groups together, so we see each other generally twice a week or so more or less. My bff and her husband (whose house we hang out at) also can't tell if he has any interest. He's a very introverted guy who is just so unreadable sometimes. GAH
Introverts are the best and the worst all at once. Maybe he's just shy (which means you should offer up a coffee rendevouz)?
Its tough because I too am an introvert, albeit less of one than he is. But when we hang out we end up laughing so much and having fun. But I just can't ask him out, I know that I have to wait for him to work up to it and be the one to make the move. I'm just impatient.

Happy Friday! I woke up kinda congested and my eyes are puffy. I look like total crap as if I were hungover. The traffic has been horrendous lately. The other day it took me an hour and a half to drive home from work (13 miles) I can't stand it. This morning I left early and am getting Here late anyway. Fuck you traffic!!!! So glad my staycation starts at 4pm

St. Vincent, if only because I hear Bill Murray is excellent in it.
I'm legit loling at myself right now. I thought Fury and St. Vincent were nicknames for guys. And I was like go@bigtowlittletoe. I so need more caffeine.

Why do you have to wait for him to make the move?
My partner is extremely introverted and I tried dancing around all "oh yeah, I've wanted to try that place also.." and finally was like "oh hey, I want to go. I want to go WITH you. Pick a time?" He would have taken forever to ask, so I think he was relieved.

Its just the kind of guy he is, and I can wait... I'm just impatient. Besides I'm actually enjoying getting to know him like this instead of just jumping into things like I've always done. Its really allowed me to see what kind of a guy he is. And I like it.

Just found out that my grandpa is in the hospital (not a big surprise) and that his kidneys are failing (ok, that's new). I am concerned but not distraught. He's in the hospital so often that the staff knows him on sight. I'm more worried about how DS will take it if something happens to him.
Had to take my dog to the vet last night. Her itching was getting so bad she was chewing off hair. I've been fighting these fleas for months: flea shampoo, flea collar, flea spray, Frontline...nothing. So she is on a chewable tablet. Hope it helps. I feel so bad for her. But everyone commented on how sweet she is.
I don't use chemicals on my pets and I haven't had any problems since I started using it year ago. Mine are never on conventional flea preventatives as I don't like administering pesticides on them, especially since they were in renal failure (due to the dog food recalls back in 2007). The chemicals in those things are very hard on the animals' bodies and I don't want to stress the kidneys anymore than necessary. www.earthworkshealth.com/pets-animals.php
If you have carpet, vacuum, vacuum, vacuum! Wash the dog's bed weekly along with your sheets. Fleas breed in these places.
I would also give the dog some cold pressed, unrefined coconut oil. Her skin may be dried out from the baths and topical pesticides.
I definitely second riverpestie. The DE will kill the adult fleas and eggs by dehydrating them. If she has open sores don't put the DE on her until they're healed, but you can start treating the yard, carpet, and bedding. Otherwise, you can rub it right onto her. It'll make her feel like she needs a bath, but it WILL help!
I was fighting fleas at my old place for months and I finally realized they were coming from the back yard. Once I put DE out there, it was a 180* change, within a week.
Also, you can buy DE on Amazon. Just make sure it's food grade/pet safe.
As for the skin irritation, I've never used coconut oil, but I've been told most vegetable-based oils will help. Just be careful - that's how I figured out that certain brands of olive oil make Roxy break out in hives (as does Iams dog food; she's hive-prone, lol).
