hermione you need to move to the west side of the state and bring your programs with you. Our local libraries are lame and don't have any cool programs on the weekends.

I finally decided on snacks for A's party. There is fruit, cheese and crackers, chips and dip, goldfish, hummus, pita, and vegetables in addition to the cake and Jello jjgglers. I have juice boxes, beer, wine, and cider for beverages. It is 3-5, so I decided to keep it simple. We might get pizza if it looks like we need to.
Somehow when my late grandfather moved into an assisted living home, I ended up with two moving boxes full of his and my grandma's albums. I've been carrying them around for 5 years and have never opened the first one. So, for a Christmas gift, I'm scanning them in page by page for my mom. It's going to take a million hours. I laugh as I do each page because I am already her prepared for her to throw a fit about my wanting to get rid of them instead of thanking me for the effort. Why do I do this crap?
We had a birthday party this morning that totally messed up both morning and afternoon naps. DS finally passed out. I hope he sleeps extra long.
Tonight is a surprise 50th anniversary party for my ILs and DS needs to not be a crank pants for the 75 guests. After dinner, my BFF is going to pick him up to bring him home to bed so DH and I can stay for the rest of the party.
I'm going to hopefully catch a quick nap too. It's going to be a late night.

My plan at Target was to buy myself a little treat - a pair of earrings, a lipstick, something fun just for me. Somehow I ended up with a DVD of Pitch Perfect instead. DH is less than enthused but I am so excited to watch it tonight!
Dd was rubbing at her nose (she scraped it just above the nostril) this morning and I told her to stop so she grabbed my hand and used MY hand to wipe her nose on. WTF kid? Lol.

Ship them to your mom and don't tell her first. That way, you get rid of them and she can't refuse them!
Just got home from running errands with DS1. I thought if I only took a single kid, it wouldn't be bad. Lol. I'll never underestimate my little wild man again. I did manage to get to the post office and then go to Meijer. They're having a deal where you can get a half priced turkey if you spend $20. So I picked up a small 15 turkey. I meant to just get a turkey breast but it would have been twice the price. Leftovers will be tasty. I don't like Meijer normally but they have a bunch of German stuff that I can't find outside of an international market so I loaded up.
Then we stopped by Lowes to pick up something for DH. Finally the outdoor mall, I had a return and then I picked up a few cute options for tonight. And Starbucks. I tried the praline thing, half pump since I normally don't add any sweetener to my coffee, and I thought it was pretty good.
Feeding the kids crockpot Mac and cheese. Babysitter will be here in a little over an hour .
DH and I went out as a last baby-free hurrah before we go back to work on Monday. My mom and dad are watching Annie. My mom sent me this picture and somehow claims that Annie doesn't look like my dad, lol.
E napped for maybe 45mins total today. Damn car naps ruining everything.
Eventually I just decided an impromptu target trip was in order, but we picked up another christmas gift for her after DH pointed out she wasn't really getting any toys. Then we hit up TRU for her strider bike, panera, and a quick lowes trip. We let her run around the holiday section at lowes b/c it was empty and she LOVED it.
Thankfully she passed right out at bedtime. She must have been running on fumes.
We got through half the day with minimal whining. The second half has seriously made me question my ability to be a mother.
What's he upset about lately?
Anything and everything. He wants to do something right this second and I say just a minute? Whine. I walk away? Whine. I have the audacity to get him a snack when he says he's hungry? Whine.
He wanted to watch Super Why earlier and I said no because of his whining, but I told him I'd set the timer and if he could make it until the timer went off, he could watch an episode. I set it for 30 minutes-he restarted once after 15, but then made it the next 30 because he knew it was his last chance. I ended up playing with him for 20 of those 30 minutes, which probably helped. The clinginess is killing me too. I can't get anything done. The only way out of a tantrum this morning while I was shampooing the carpet was allowing him to hold on to the cord while I did it.

@starry, I can answer you question from the other day with "today" now.
Four - wait, six - drinks on not much food = wasted with coworkers. I am sitting on my hotel room couch with my purse still on because I can't be assed to move.

I wondered based on facebook. Good luck tomorrow! I hope things turn out better for you than they did for me.
LOL hope so. Last year a ton of ppl were stranded due to tornadoes in Chicago. I am hoping we will be ok. All I have to do is get to the airport by 7ish.

How's N?
are you scared for the 3s? i am. ugh sorry things are challenging right now. n is fine, normal-ish. he's having a few only child spoiled syndrome episodes which is irritating.
I am not necessarily scared, I just am hoping we hit it early I often wonder with DS being pretty verbally advanced if we just hit it early; but I also wonder if his current DC situation isn't helping things. He went to being the youngest by 6 months to being the oldest by 6 months. He very clearly does better when he's the youngest-we've seen that each time he's moved rooms.
