I gotta be honest with you: I would not look forward to an oatmeal party since oatmeal is not my favorite food revolting. I would definitely look forward to a brunch with friends where there was an oatmeal bar in addition to other brunchy stuff. I would probably not do a glitter ornament, or if I did, I would likely leave it at your place since I detest glitter almost as much as I detest oatmeal. I'll leave the mess it makes at your house, thankyouverymuch. Will kids be at this brunch? Because that's the only explanation that's acceptable for crafts at a brunch.
Hmm. The more you clarify, the less likely I would be to attend. lol. An oatmeal-only party is a no any time of the day. If you also had bacon (whole pieces, not as a topping), fruit, and mini quiches, then yes. But 11:00 is too late for any brunch that involves oatmeal. An 11:00 menu has to have equal amounts breakfast and lunch food, and no oatmeal.
And I'm still on the "no crafts at brunch" list, but if your friends are into it, then hey, go for it. I guess the same could be said for 11:00 oatmeal party, but for some reason it seems less likely that anyone would be into that. lol. Sorry sped.
I would be in for a brunch and in for craft day...but just oatmeal would not do it for me. The texture makes my stomach turn and 11 am is too late for an oatmeal-type meal.

I would go if there were going to be other foods in addition to oatmeal, and no crafts. So just regular brunch, basically. lol.
And I would call it brunch, not an oatmeal party.
(Ok, maybe I would consider doing a craft. I just tend to have an automatic reaction when I hear the word "crafts" and it is generally "no." But I do like ornaments.)

If you're my friend and you're inviting me to come over and make crafts, I'm coming to hang out with you and not for the crafts or the oatmeal.
Booze and oatmeal alternatives are always appreciated, but it's the company I'm there for.
Yes this, except I do like both crafts and oatmeal. I would have fun with this and bring my own boozey add ins or mimosas. Make whole pieces of bacon, add fruit, and a couple other fixings (couple containers of cinnamon rolls, maybe?), and you'll be good to go.
Look, I wouldn't go. Because on face value this sounds corny as hell. But when I stop and think about it, if I forced myself to go because it was being held by a really good friend, I might just really enjoy myself.
You know your friends. If this is the kind of thing that they would enjoy, then go for it. And have a blast!
I think it's a very cute idea, but I also think you need at least one other option so people who aren't crazy about oatmeal can have something else. If you did an oatmeal bar you could also put out a big bowl of yogurt and it could be a granola bar too with all the same toppings.
ETA: in answer to your question, I would go, but no one I know ever hosts fun parties with crafts so it would be a complete novelty to me and I would think I finally found a friend who 'gets' me.
