I have a couple decent chardonnays chilled, a reisling and there are several reds in the basement that could work. Three of the four of us have wicked head colds, so I'm thinking I'll save the expensive stuff for another night.
We ate at 1, kids and DH are napping. I'm on glass two of sauv blanc, intending to do some online shopping but I'm not feeling inspired. It's something I threw in the cart while I subjected myself to whole foods with three kids, two days before thanksgiving. It'll do!
My dad will be here around 4:30 for dessert. I need to put away the leftovers still.
I did my drinking last night, as I have to work tonight (1030-3). But last night I had 2 bottles of champagne. No idea what kind. It was like the first alcohol I've had in 4 years.
we just got back from dinner #1 aka the dry dinner (J's aunt and uncle don't drink, so any event at their house is a no booze one). There will be copious amounts of sauv blanc and pinot grigio at my parents later on for dinner #2, but we're holding off on cracking open a bottle of malbec until we've determined whether we're taking naps or not. The day did start off with Bailey's and coffee though, so there's that.
I've had a glass of Chardonnay and a glass of Riesling so far. Then everyone else stopped drinking so I switched to water. I will be switching back to wine soon.
That sounds delicious. We have a bottle of Effen salted caramel that's been on our shelf for a while because I haven't been sure what to do with it. Do you drink it warm or cold?
