Go go baby @astrid!
I did my 3 hour glucose test today. Getting poked 4 times while feeling like crap after drinking that gross drink on an empty stomach was not fun, haha. Hoping the results are good!
My last shower was today, we got lots of wonderful goodies. I also did my registry completion so the last of it will get here in the next week and we can finish up the nursery!
Oh and I fixed the chair issue in the nursery, WDYT?

This morning I almost had a nervous breakdown trying to clean a mirror in the house. I tried for 20 minutes to get it streak/smudge free before bursting into tears and sobbing. Yay, hormones!
Tonight we went to my nephews birthday party. About 10 minutes before we left I found out he's sick with a fever. WTF. If I end up sick for Christmas I'm going to be so fucking pissed.

Trying to catch some sleep but sleep won't come. Attended a wedding this afternoon/evening. The whole family made a point of telling me alcohol was totally off limits in my condition so not even a small relaxing glass of wine was to be had! (I've never been much of a drinker and these people were doing keg stands by the end of the night so it was extremely frustrating for me to be the one ostracized. The last wine I had was a small glass on thanksgiving.) Also apparently 2 inch heels are also thought to be a major health hazard when pregnant....?! I wouldn't have worn them if I felt off balance, but I've always rocked heels like a champ and was enjoying doing something that still felt pre-pregnancy kind of normal. They weren't the tallest heels in the room, but hoooo boy, the way people commented you would have thought I was downhill skiing on horseback at 36 weeks pregnant rather than simply wearing a pretty pair of shoes at 19. H is snoring off the effects of HIS evening, so at least one of us enjoyed.

tarotchamber I wore heels to a party last night and got similar comments! I'm like, I'm only 18 weeks and my feet and body feel fine. I wanted to feel dressed up and cute and when the time comes that heels bother me I'll stop wearing them! Haters gonna hate I guess.
My H is also still snoozing off the night, while I have to go teach a kettlebell class. I wouldn't have minded sleeping in a little more, we got home late!

This looks great!!! I'm glad it worked out
Is that artwork you have a us map on wood? May I ask where you got it?
Pregnancy is causing hair growth in my previously lasered nether region. I feel like this has undone lots of $$ I've spent. Fortunately, pregnancy hasn't caused my under arm hair to grow back.
I'm losing sleep because my DH didn't just go along with my Godparent choices for Baby. This WILL be my hill to die on.
I may start a new post for this. Has anyone had any real luck with finding maternity dresses? Surprisingly, I'm finding all kinds of pants and jeans to fit. I'm having trouble with tops and have found it's impossible to find maternity dresses that are flattering on me or that fit well.
I've had a hard time finding maternity dresses too - there has been a lot of ordering and returning here. I finally found 2 that I really like from Asos that are good for work -
this one and this one and I found one at Old Navy that I have been loving as well, which doesn't look like much online but has a really nice cowl neck - here
But it's tough! Most of the things that look really nice are much too expensive for me. I'm surprised when I go into place like Destination Maternity - seeing how cheaply made and what thin fabrics even their nicer lines seem to be made of. I actually bought a Simplicity pattern and some fabric to make a dress but haven't quite gotten around to it yet, that is going to be my after Christmas project.
yourmother I lived in these dresses from Target. Not sure what type of fit you're looking for, but these are super comfy and wash well. I wore them heavily accessorized for work.

I want to order all three dresses! Can you help me with sizing? I still have a lot of growing to do. My typical size right before pregnancy was size 12.

It's actually a print on a foam board, the background does look like wood. I can send you the vendors name, got it on etsy.

That is a tough topic for sure. Is there any wiggle room where you could choose one godparent and he could choose the other? Or, maybe there's a way to include the folks he would have chosen, just not as official godparents? Good luck!

I was generally a size 10 pre-pregnancy, and I got a medium in the Old Navy one, it's more fitted down by the hips/butt but I carry most of my weight in my chest and stomach already (I have a really large chest.) The 2 from Asos I went ahead and ordered 10 in both and that seemed to be right on. The blue one from Asos is very blousy up in the chest area which is perfect for me -they just keep growing and it's nice to have something not super tight to wear! The black one from Asos is a little longer too - there is a LOT of room in the tummy to grow into and I can tell it will be wonderful for third trimester, and I think at that point it will help with the length too, since as the belly gets bigger it makes everything fit a little shorter. I am taller though (5'8) so it may be super long if you are short? Not sure. The nice thing about Asos is free shipping and free return shipping, so it's easier to just order it to try!
That's the place! Vendor was great to work with, she will send you a few options to choose from before the final print, and it shipped and arrived pretty quick.

A pizza place that used to be in my town recently came back after closing a few years ago. I was so excited because they have a type of pizza I can't find anywhere else. I went to order and found out they don't make that kind of pizza anymore I'm irrationally upset about this, haha. I was so looking forward to it! Oh well. We are trying a different one (it's almost the same, but has tater tots on it instead of slices of potato.. sigh) and their cheese sticks are (or at least were) amazing so I'm still looking forward to it. I'm annoyed too though that I entered in all my information including the card info and THEN it tells me we are outside of their delivery radius. Grr. There are pizza places within a few blocks of them that do and even some that are further! So H said he'd go pick it up. This better be worth it!

It's possible to slightly compromise on my end. I swear I'm not a horrible person and there is history in this department. As a matter of fact, I'm letting him take the lead on designing the nursery and will probably give into his name choices. Godparents is my one thing I will fight to the death for.

This is extremely helpful. I have a very big chest area. I'll order in the 12!
