I teared up reading that. I'm trying to find the words to describe this wonderful group of women and I'm coming up short. Suffice it to say that I thank my lucky stars that I found you all, and even luckier that you accepted me into the fold. (heart) (heart)
PS - my legs are still sore.
When I saw people running on the beach yesterday, I wasn't actually thinking about joining them, but I thought that it would have been possible. I felt great. By the time I got out of my car, after my 4 hour drive, I was significantly more sore. When I got out of bed this morning, I was limping. LOL WTF?! My left calf tightened up pretty badly when I was running with Tara, and it feels like it's going to snap. I need some quality foam roller time.

I planned to run to, but I woke up with a headache, and my legs were like "I'd like to see you try". So I just rolled over and waited for enfuego23's alarm to go off.

This was an amazing recap. This was such a fun weekend. I miss you girls and the beach so much already . I can't wait to go again. I'm already planning my redemption to Kiawah Half Marathon 2015. I had a blast and I'm so glad I stumbled upon you and you accepted me.
1) H&Fers commenting that they saw my claw in action. LOL! Did anyone notice my kicky leg?
2) At mile 23, taratru's Garmin beeped, and in unison we both immediately said, "Just a 5k." It was funny to hear the mental games we all play, play out in real life.
Oh man oh man, after a day of car, airport, plane, car I cannot move!! Also came home to a kid throwing up, 102 temp, and spent the night on a couch again! Can I go back to the beach please?

Aww, man. Poor kiddo and poor mom. I bet your DH was ecstatic to have you home!

Oh no! I hope you and your little one feel better soon.
I came home to DD yowling that her tummy hurt. I thought we were going to end up in the ER, but she calmed down. Then we had a sewer back-up. I am ready to go back also.

Dang, hope you can sleep in your own bed tonight and hope he feels better soon!
I also came home to a sick kid, but he just has a cold. Bonus-I got to rock/sing him to sleep last night. I think the last time he let me do that was 2+ years ago.

The claw put huge smile on face, and I saw you at a point where I was struggling a little bit.

You mean at mile 22.8? Good Lord, I hate when courses are *that* overlong.
I got so used to being around who like to talk running that I just tried to talk to some non runner CWs about splits from Saturday's race. They were really nice about pretending to listen.

Oh clseale, you and your way with words. I don't think anyone can fully understand how great the weekend was unless you were there, but I don't think it could have been said any better. Big group hug (hug) (hug2)

Haha, yes. We should have waited until your Garmin read 23.5, before we started celebrating the 5k to go!
I (heart)ed the pictures you guys posted on FB so hard. I couldn't be there for this, but I'm really proud to be part of the greater group. So many congrats on awesome races that I don't even know where to start. But taratru and hannahb I am so freaking happy for you guys with your shiny new BQs!

Oh no! I hope this was a quick bug that's out of his system.

Right? I was just doing the same. "Oh, I could totally have been a pacer - my splits were that even!" as their eyes glaze over and they respond "uh huh, sounds great".
clseale - your recap made me teary too. I'm so impressed with all of us - the coordination and enthusiasm in pulling this off without a hitch as well as the group support during the race was just amazing.
Like lauren170 said - this trip was very motivating. I PR'd by a whole 10 minutes (and beat my goal time by 3) - I can see a sub 2:00 in my near future. Watching all of you get out there and rock it was very inspiring to me!
Finally - Charleston is the cutest place ever. I just can't get over it.
