You can unlike something by clicking the like button again. Also, I wonder if they think of it as saying, "I'm sorry" but not writing a post. (I am not making excuses, just trying to figure out ANY reason why someone might like it.)
I have accidentally liked posts when scrolling on my phone. I hope that's the case here
This happens to me a lot too. I usually try to unlike it and hope they dont get a notification about it. I am not sure what post this is about but I hope it was an accident.
That happened when I lost Ezra, too. If I remember correctly someone made a call out post for the people who had liked my OP and one came forward saying it was an accident due to scrolling on mobile and she was sorry. I think accidental liking happens pretty often.
If you look at that person's post history, in the most recent it seems she had a little back and forth with Ali. I really hope this has nothing to do with that.

I saw that too. What the fuck is wrong with people. I may not like posters here but I would stil be very sad if someone lost a parent. I would still offer my condolences.
How awkward for her if it was unintentional and her last post was an argument with Ali. How embarrassing for her if it was intentional because she's still holding a petty grudge from months ago.
I can't imagine anyone intending to "like" a post about a parents death. People like facebook posts to show support sometimes, and I would tend to believe the intent was either that or it was accidental. Because I just can't imagine anyone, no matter what the history, being happy someone lost a parent.

Sometimes I GBCN late at night and half asleep. I'm sure I've accidentally liked posts because one time, I sent several asdfghjkl messages to someone :/ I hope that was the case

I just got the messages and notifications about this and unliked immediately. It was absolutely not intentional and I am very sorry for any further pain my accidental clicking caused. I did get yelled at a little last time I tried to participate but don't even remember by whom and have no hard feelings about it. I am not typically signed in here so never noticed how easy it is to like something while scrolling by. I will obviously not bother her during this time with my apology but if you are reading this, I am very sorry for both your loss and my clumsiness. Geez, this is not how I wanted to be known on this board. Sorry everyone!
