Peace and quiet tonight until the ILs arrive tomorrow! I'm having cereal for dinner and not wearing a bra. Wild!
To help with super slow Christmas week boredom at work, I'm starting a 2015 MMM predictions post. Start thinking, call Miss Cleo, etc. I want some good ones.

Just about to get on the train home from work.
My sister just got into town today so I'm sure she's at my house with my mom watching the boys. Not sure what that means for tonight, maybe we'll go out to dinner or something. I'm solo parenting otherwise, so maybe I'll push for some extra auntie/nephew time to help me out.
Toddler dinner so far: entire PB sandwich, applesauce cup, string cheese, a single baby carrot, going on piece #2 of raisin toast and second cup of milk. Damn.
It's 50 degrees out so we took a walk around the neighborhood and delivered cookies to a bunch of neighbors and looked at lights. I picked up a coach wristlet for $19 at the outlets the Saturday after thanksgiving and dropped it off for our babysitter. I'm pretty sure her mom thinks I overdid it. But $19!
DH just ran out to pick up subway since my dinner prep time was consumed by rage at anthem earlier. No one needs baths so bedtime is imminent.
A class full of 23 first graders days before Christmas is hard. I came home with a huge headache. DH took DD out to run errands and I'm home in a silent house. It's the best!

I'm having a really hard time getting in the holiday spirit this year. I have no idea why. I need to binge watch some Christmas shows and do some baking tomorrow. Maybe that will help.
A is in love with her new VTech Smart Animals tree house thing. It actually held her attention for a long while and she carries the animals around all day.
My boss told me to leave at like 1:30 today. It's incredibly quiet, but due to the nature of the job, I can't trust that it will stay quiet. Anyway, we're good for now, then one more day of work and I'm fully off for two days.
We're about to make Christmas cookies. E's most excited by the promise of royal icing, e.g., "glue." (when we made our gingerbread house a few weeks back, that's what I called the icing). I also have killer cramps, so I'm planning to subsist the rest of the evening on ibuprofen, chocolate, and prosecco.

Just put DD down for bed. My friend & her DS came over to play & have dinner with us. Her DS is 14 days older than P, they are the cutest! We got crafty and made some mistletoes & then I made spinach tortellini soup for dinner.
Now I need to drink wine & clean the kitchen - then I want to make my own swiffer wetjet pad.. It took 3 pads to clean my kitchen/living room today... That's going to get expensive, fast.
I cleaned the house from top to bottom, spent an hour on the treadmill, AND spent the afternoon outside with the kids today. We played football, went on a bike ride, and played on the swingset. Now we're watching Charlie Brown Christmas and I'm sipping hot apple cider.
My kid is going to learn to roll over by trying to watch the tv, lol. She already rolls back to side, but she is getting very close to back to front.
We always position her on her mat so she can't see the tv, but she is desperately trying to get a look at it. It will probably need to be turned off while she is awake once my maternity leave is over, but hey, rolling is pretty cool.
DD has her first ear infection. Poor thing! And we're flying tomorrow. I'm so glad the pedi fit us in this morning so we could get in a few doses of antibiotics before the flight.
I'm also wondering when I need to stop watching grown up TV in front of DD. She almost saw a guy get stabbed to death with a fork while I was watching Reign.
My dog passed away suddenly today. I found her within minutes of her being gone. My DH got her after I miscarried my first and she did help me through that & many other tough times the past many years. I cried today like I haven't since I lost that baby. She was such a sweet and loyal friend and kept me company many lonely days as a SAHM. We will miss her so much.

I'm about to go eat some cookies. Only one more day of work.
My work is so ass backwards. We got approval of a document today. Except we never got official approval of the preceding document. My boss and I were so confused bc we're like wait, what?
L - I'm so sorry. It's so hard to lose a pet. We lost our 2 boys last year within 2 weeks of each other and I still can't look at photos of them without breaking down.

All of a sudden J likes to put food in his mouth. This is glorious! I can not wait to say bye to pouches!
I'm trying to convince H to let me go back to school so I can do something different. I'm really struggling trying to find a job that I would actually enjoy that's not going back to exactly what I used to do (if that makes sense).
This is a repost from the Monday (day) randoms, but it's SO AWESOME it bears repeating. My mom texted me earlier today: "Can DS come and play with Grammie and PopPop tomorrow? We would like to take him shopping for his gift to you and Daddy and Baby Sister this year and every year just before Christmas. He can stay from 10am through dinner."
WOOHOO! I get a day to myself, go on a date with DH after he gets home from work, AND they'll be presents!?! FANTASTIC.
Dd threw up 3x today. We are visiting my family and one of her cousins has pink eye. Step sister and I agreed we would see each other on xmas eve and xmas. Hopefully the kids are healthier by then. The baby is quarantined from all though!
At least we got to rest and relax today after our long drive.
