I just snagged DS's down jacket (Patagonia Down Sweater) for next year on a BST in mint condition for $30. Okay, every inch of it is in mint condition, minus 2 small punctures.
The Patagonia site has partnered with iFixIt, and has a full tutorial on replacing baffles. (Think - replacing a single square in a quilt.) I do not have time for that. I was thinking I would just find matching thread, and stitch them up tightly, and cleanly. They're right at the cuffs, so they don't impact the overall aesthetic.
Can anyone suggest some type of clear iron-on patch that will last through a lifetime of washes? Or some other magic? Something almost as easy as a line of stitches, but "cleaner"?
The jacket retails for $99 and is considered car seat safe, so I pounced on it when the listing went up. We live in our down sweaters all winter, and the style fits him really well. I'm willing to spend some time fixing it, but don't think I can manage baffle replacement!
