This is sort of related... can anyone point me to a "knitting for dummies" video/website/something? I REALLY want to learn but am kind of an idiot w/ these things (my Mom tried to teach me once and failed)

I'm in. I also have metal and plastic needles if anyone needs them... I can put together a starter kit to ship if anyone is interested in giving it a try and is a total beginner :-)

My yarn is in hard to get to right now, so I'm out for this time.

I have one set of small needles that my grandma gave me when she first started teaching me to knit, but I could use recommendations on other needles to get and books/videos that are good for a hands on learner. (I learn best when someone is actually sitting with me showing me how to do it.)

rjamz. This is my kind of knitting. Maybe I'm a hat/scarf person after all. I needed a second project because I'm working on some socks and it's so small I need a break sometimes. This is perfect.
