So I mentioned in the anthro tag sale post that my dog was sick, so I went to take him to the vet today I dropped him off this morning and came to work, and I'm so worried about him.
So normally he's very energetic (he's only 4) and he runs around the house all excited when I get home... well when I got home yesterday he came to me and when I went to pick him up (like I normally do) he started shrieking in pain. Then he just went over to his bed and laid down. He wouldn't drink or eat, and when I gave him one of his favorite treats, he just laid his head on top of it. He wouldn't go out in the backyard to go to the bathroom so I put his leash on him and took him out front. He was moving really slowly, but not limping or anything. When he was going up the stairs, he kinda went sideways while he whined. I had to pick him up to put him in the bed, and when I lightly touched him while I was sleeping he once again shrieked in pain.
I prodded around on his belly and his legs and feet, and he didn't seem in pain. Ugh. I don't know what it is. He was fine yesterday morning when I went to work. I'm really nervous because he's my best buddy So T&Ps would be gladly appreciated. TIA
Oh no!!! I'm SO sorry. My life revolves around my dog and when he was a puppy he needed a couple of surgeries and it seriously tore me apart. T&P going out to you and your pup. Keep us informed. Hugs
Ugh... I am SO sorry. I literally don't even know how you went to work -- I would've been too crazy and worried to drag myself in. I'm self-admittedly obsessed with my dog and basically consider him my child. Will they call you when they are finished examining him or are you picking him up at the end of the day? I'd probably be "that" lady who called every 5 minutes to check-in or ask them to set up a Skype meeting for us Lol.
My heart goes out to you...let's hope it's just a belly ache or maybe he's constipated? I know constipation can really make a dog feel awful, and luckily it's an easy fix at the vets. Please keep us posted. I like to imagine Nacho doggie as a tiny chihuahua who has an affinity for sombreros FWIW (trying to make you smile).

Many thoughts and prayers for your little guy:( my max has done something like that before and it turned out that it was his neck. He's a little guy and I guess it can happen with them... So I switched to a harness instead of a collar and it made a big difference. I thought I'd mention it because it sounds just like what he did.
I hope everything is okay my dog is my baby and I know how much it breaks your heart when there is something wrong and you don't know what it is. I hope the vet has answers for you, and he feels better soon.
Oh no! I'm so sorry! I really cannot imagine our life without our dog. Hopefully it's something like allergies or change in the weather. T&P to you and your pup!! Let us know what the vet says. ((hugs))

Birk - I have a big project due next week, or otherwise I would have not come in. I'm just swamped So I'm super stressed already, then adding this in there is enough to make me lose it. I've been thinking about calling already, but I'm trying to hold off so I don't sound too crazy. Explaining it to the vet tech this morning almost sent me into tears.
I'm hoping he's either constipated or its a muscle pull or something. He didn't poop yesterday after work, so that could be it. Usually we just let him and his dog-sister out into the backyard so I'm not totally on top of their pooping habits... it's times like this I regret not paying better attention
I'm sorry I hope the vet gets to the bottom of this and that it's something he will recover from fully. I know how hard it is to have a beloved dog and watch them in pain. Please keep us updated.
Sorry to hear the dog is not well :-( We went through something similar with our dog recently. He seemed mopey for a couple of days and then we he didn't eat, we immediately took him to the vet.
Hope they're able to find answers. Lots of T&P's to your furry guy.
