My work BFF just gave me a Vera Bradley wallet. I was in dire need of a new wallet (mine broke a couple days ago and I've been trying not to go to Target), and coworkers MIL passes them on when she's done with them so she had extras.
The pattern is so not me but everything is organized so perfectly in it. I've turned to the dark side.
doglove, why did you wash and dry your hair twice a day?
I am curious.
OCD? Just always would wash in the shower in the AM and then after a PM workout. I clearly have some issues with being overly clean that I think stem from childhood issues. I think that's what makes breaking this stuff so mentally challenging for me.
That makes sense. I can see why twice a day washing and drying could be very drying on your hair.
I am a daily washer. While I have a ton of hair, it is thin and gets greasy by the end of the day. If I am not going anywhere special I will spray dry shampoo in on day 2 but I do not like the way it feels.
I am excited I am wearing my favorite new sweater. I bought it in Prague and it makes me smile whenever I wear it. I wish I had bought the badger scarf though.
I used to wash my hair every other day and just rinse with water in between, but my hormones must have changed at some point because if I try to do that now my head looks like an oil slick. It doesn't even look good pulled back.
Sometimes I can get away with not washing it at all every other day, but I feel like it depends on what I eat or what my hormones are doing. I'm thinking about learning how to use dry shampoo...I have to start doing something. My routine works right now because I work from home. There's no way I'd get away with it if I worked in an office.
kaneen, that reminds me of my mini fridge at home. H yells at me whenever I put actual food in the mini fridge.
Edit: And I am having fun identifying the items in that fridge.
There's a little bit of everything. Including our signature shot...fireball. Our RVP even brought in special copper mugs to make moscow mules. When I say we take our drinking seriously around here, I'm not kidding.
ETA: We have two fridges in our breakroom. One is exclusively for alcohol.

I saw the fireball, that is my favorite. I can actually sit and sip on it like people sit sip whiskey or Scotch.
I want to come work with you. Though, my office isn't afraid of drinking.
That is so crazy, kaneen, in the best way possible.
My cousin works for PopCap and they have an alcohol dispenser.. actually several of them, that they made themselves. Just sitting on desks dispersed through their office

You do know that if you ever want to come over to the dark side of HR Software Consulting, I'd be happy to talk to you about it and help you out, right?

He's almost 4 right? I feel like him and my DS are basically the same age.
I have some of that going on too. He's finally over throwing stuff, but he likes to jump on the couches and just when I think I have him where I want him, I get "you butthead" or "you're a turd".
Grrrr kid, grrrrr.
4 in April. I hear it gets better then?
If I hear "no" or "go away" one more time... Though the other day he was acting a fool (more dangerous jumping from coffee table, to chair, to sofa, and back again) and he went into time out. He's crying in time out "I'm not bad! I'm not bad, mommy!".
/heartbreak
I can commiserate on all of this. My DD is 4 and pulls this exact same crap. It's like once she gets going, there's no stopping her. I'm hoping it's better at 5...

Is your company hiring? My team is so lame. We've been on one work outing in my almost 4 years here, and one of my co-workers and I had to sneak off in the middle of it to get a beer.

I was the team lead on our Electronic Medical Records implementation. Does that count???

My mom is driving me crazy this week about wedding stuff. I know she is just excited but omg, relax mom, we'll figure out if the venue provides chairs or not. It isn't a big deal.
