I know I have been greedy asking for thoughts and prayers, but I could really use some today. It appears that one of my stitches is infected and is causing me a lot of pain. I'm either going to get squeezed in for an appointment to see my surgeon or sent back to the hospital. get admitted, and see his resident! UGH!!! I swear nothing is ever easy. Blah!
Ack abcdefu, that sucks! I hope they can get that fixed up quickly for you and you aren't in pain for long.
DS and I had a quiet day, it's Australia Day today and we got invited to a bbq but I didn't rsvp as it was right around nap time and he missed his nap yesterday. And it was a friend who I have made plans with twice in the last prob 4 months and both times she didn't show up. The first time I texted after an hour + to see if she was still coming and she had been asleep (wtf?) and most recently I decided I would text before she was coming in case she was going to bail again and sure enough, 5 mins after she was supposed to arrive she texted to say she wasn't coming - it was the week before Christmas dude, I have shit to do, don't waste my time! I'm just over it and I think I may need more time before I can be bothered hanging out with her again. Our kids were born 3 hours apart in adjacent rooms and we met at our antenatal classes so I really wish it wasn't like this. Also, I don't have a whole bunch of friends nearby which makes it suck even more.

Thank you! I'm just hoping I don't have to be admitted, but I packed a bag just in case. It's an even bigger pain the ass because it's almost 2 hours one way. I was supposed to get the stitches out tomorrow, but now that one is infected and we are most likely getting a snow storm tomorrow, I don't know what is going on.
I'm sorry about your flaky friend. I don't understand why people makes plans and then a a few minutes before the event, they cancel. That would irk me. I probably would do the same thing you're doing, then maybe she will get the hint, or not!

Oh bugger.. FX you end up wherever it will make your life the easiest, given the circumstances!
I don't think I would be as annoyed by my friend if she ever apologised for it, but it's like she has no concept that I have a life outside of waiting for her to turn up lol It just feels so inconsiderate. I thought next time I could invite her but then just do something else and if she actually showed up I would be like "oh, sorry, I wasn't expecting you to actually come" but that's a touch passive aggressive

hahaha! I know someone just like this! She has no concept of other people's lives and just goes through life thinking the world and everyone's schedule should revolve around her!

abcdefu, good luck! Hope it's something easy to correct.
jenstar, I hate friends like that but I feel you. I don't have very many friends nearby and now I'm not talking to my oldest friend so that sucks. But! Happy Australia day!

I hope you're doing better, cuddlyevil! We missed you!
abcdefu I'm so sorry about your stitches. That sounds horrible. Lots of good thoughts for you.
XH failed to give DS any of his meds this weekend, so he has no input on the Ritalin trial, plus my kid came home with a bunch of allergy shit and constipated. Thanks a lot dickhead. He also needed me to buy him gas on Friday, AND claimed he couldn't work on DS's homework with him because he "caught the flu." I panicked all "omg what if our son is sick" and XH is all "well...my nose swab was negative. But they gave me Tamiflu anyway! So I say it was the flu." No, buddy. When I have a cold, I can't call it whatever I want and then shirk all parenting duties. I called him a Disneyland dad and said I wanted to be reimbursed for gas and medicine TODAY.
Anyway. I had a pretty good weekend! Got to see some of my lovely board buddies and went to my nephew's birthday party. Can I AW a pic of the birthday boy with his newest baby cousin (my new niece)?
Sorry if it's huge. Tapatalk is silly about that.
Also just relaxed and played video games and had lots of sex. So I'm spent but in a good way.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Hope everything turns out abc I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you don't get re-admitted.
jenstar I totally have a friend like this and I understand. I hope things work out.
For everyone getting hit with the snowstorm, I hope you are safe and stay warm!
I'm in a funk today. So I went out with m on Thursday and I haven't heard from him since. I am a bit bummed as I overthink things and feel like I might've come on strong and he got turned off. Anyways it's raining here and it's going to be a long Monday.
i had such a great weekend - went hiking on saturday with a group of friends and had such a blast. then went back to my parent's house with all of them (plus a few more!) and ate and played board games all night. yesterday my mom fixed us a big breakfast and then i drove back home and napped with the pup. such a relaxing, fun weekend.
tonight i have a tinder date. we've been texting all weekend so hoping our chemistry in person is as good - not holding my breath though. i've done this before, then met up in person and either a) no spark or b) spark but then he ghosted. so keeping my expectations low.
Gearing up for Juno. My property management company never clears the snow at the back of the building so I already almost fell on my ass this morning after the snow/rain/ice from the weekend. I think I'm going to email them today to let them know that the maintenance guy is leaving it like this. I'm so fed up and it's only going to get worse.
abcdefu feel better lady! I hope you can go home after the appt and rest lyssbobiss, Command, B613 adorable pic! Sorry your XH is such a man child.
I have to take paco to the cardiologist today. I'm super stressed out about what they may find. I didn't sleep at all. Now I'm up trying to get some work done because after a 50 hour week I opted not to work this wekeend. I'm so over the long hours, extreme stress and dealing with doggie. This weekend wasn't relaxing I'm dreading today.
I have a date tonight with R. He also called last night to give me his weekly run-down for work. He's been scheduled to work in Turks & Caicos and a few other islands in February for 3 weeks and invited me to visit him while he's there. !!! Hell yes, I'll come visit. IF the finances work out...
Hugs @abcdedu and @pdx18, keep us posted. The snow is coming down hard already in NYC. This is going to be a real mess. My commute home will likely take several hours.

My dog's skin issues are starting to stress me out. I know that I am doing everything that I can for him, but nothing seems to be working. I don't want him uncomfortable.
I'm actually excited about the healthy meals that I have planned for today and the rest of this week. I have 7 weeks to get ready for a gala that I am attending and 22 weeks until my trip to Italy. I hope to lose 25 pounds by Italy.
DH and I went to look at three "fixer upper" farmhouses... they were all beyond fixing up unless our budget was A LOT higher. They were more like "Tear out everything and start again-ers"
We have not given up though! We will keep looking!

Thank you all! pantsoffdanceoff what are the skin issues? Paco had some really bad ones and the vet finally gave us a shampoo that changed his life. He had been to an allergist and on steroids and all sorts of meds before that.
I've decided that if I can lose 12 lbs in 6 weeks for my cruise that I am going to buy myself the LV bag I've been wanting for over a year. I'm going to have to way amp up my exercise because there is no way I can do that on diet alone. I figure I'll save a ton of money b/c I won't have to buy new clothes for the cruise if I can fit into what's in my closet now.

He is basically prone to staph infections. This is relatively new for him in the last couple years. I have the medicated shampoo from the vet and I am now giving him a bath every other day and I keep him shaved (vet's suggestion) and he just keeps on getting staph infection scabs all over his back. He doesn't usually scratch them, but I think I might invest in a lot of dog shirts to keep the elements away from him.
These dogs! It's amazing what we will do for them. I just took myself for my first physical in forever (still get my annual done every year), but Bo NEVER misses a vet appointment or grooming appointment. I spend probably at least double on his hair than I do my own!

I had a good and busy weekend. I'm a little tired but I will be fine. I literally passed out at the end of the day yesterday.
They keep predicting snow here but so far it has mostly been rain. I don't mind but it is kind of stressful to be planning snowstorms even if they don't end up happening. This area can be pretty bad at managing snow of any amount (or lack of amount). At least we are getting ever closer to Spring!
