Mine comes from the title of my favorite cookbook, The Moosewood Collective's Enchanted Broccoli Forest. So, I went by BroccoliTree (which TN usually made into "Broccolit..."). Most of the TIP people called me broc, so that's what I went with when we made the jump.
I'll add that I usually read posts as being super formal now when people call me broccoli.

On TN I was CheesierThanProvolone, which is a lyric from a song I think is hilarious. That was too long for PB, so I changed my cheese. The lyric is: Furthermore, I'm cornier than ethanol, cheesier than provolone I spent ages eight to ten living in a motor home With an ego the size of Tim Duncan Even though I got shit for brains like a blumpkin
The song is called "I'm Awesome" and I kind of wish I'd just used that as my SN.
Mine is my favorite spanish word, bellowed because I was mad when I changed it from whatever iteration of Ombligo I had last time. I am tired of bellowing and want to change it but I can't because we fixed that.
So now the question is, why is the word for belly button your favorite? Are you really into navels?
I was litebright on TN/TB, and I kept it over here.
My only real requirement for a SN has been that it not have numbers. I don't remember why I picked that one specifically; although it's nice that when you do a basic google on my SN, a gabillion toy-related links come up first.
I guess it's nostalgia; although it's kind of selective, because as I kid I would get so frustrated with the zillion plastic pegs when I actually had a Lite-Brite. Plus it sounds perky and cheery, and I'm generally a pretty upbeat person, so I thought that fit.
back when my h and i were young and cute, he loved my dimples and i loved his freckles. so on the knot/nest when i was frklsbride, i was actually "Freckles' Bride." i dropped the bride because, let's face, i'm well past bridedom.
This is funny because LLL and I were talking about your SN and how to pronounce it and she was saying it was freckles and I was saying I was sure it was short for Father KLS Bride. But maybe Methodist ministers go by Pastor instead of Father, in which case my theory was stupid from the get-go. So now you know you've been lovingly discussed
Originally, for my idol and professional inspiration Elle Woods.
Then I shortened it to Elle because I thought it had a nice anonymity - She.
And I like the name. I intend to name my daughter, if I ever have one, Elizabeth. I have planned to do this since I was like 7. When my mom got pregnant with my little brother (I was then 11) she promised we could name him Elizabeth if he was a girl. Imagine my devestation when they wouldn't let me name the boy Beth.
My SN is from a girl I knew in middle school. She told me she knew me in past life and the SN is what my name was. Not sure about the past life stuff, but I loved the name
My original TN name is hindsight's a biotch. I came up with that shit after lurking on TIP for a while and reading all the trainwrecks that you could have seen coming from a mile away. Also, it's a bitch to look back at your life and realize you really could have avoided being a dumb heifer if only you'd cared to look.
So there you go.
And now I'm habbsies because while PCE and other places call me Habs, TIP had an epic trainwreck called habstar and I refuse to be associated with that hot mess. So habbsies it is.
