Just a dusting so far in NJ just NE of Philly. DH went to the store last night for the essentials: milk, bread, and Diet Dr Pepper, lol. I always keep the pantry well stocked, so we'll have enough to eat.
We need to figure out how to turn on our gas fireplace.

It's snowing lightly in NNJ. I'm making dinner now. Basically nothing special for this SAHM expect we are housebound and DH plans to leave the city by 1:00 pm.
I walked B to school today so I don't have to drive in the snow later but we shouldn't get too much. Just enough to close day care! I've taken off twice in the past two weeks to stay home with B so tomorrow is DH's turn. Last year even when the governor told everyone to stay inside they told us we had to charge PTO if we didn't come in so I braved the elements and walked to work. Granted it's only a few blocks but I'd rather have a snow day.
Just freezing rain and a trace of snow here in NoVA so far. They're predicting 2-4 inches where I am, which isn't bad. I'm at the gym but heading home to hunker down anyway. I hate driving in bad weather here. People are nuts.

Just west of Philly here. Snow is falling, light accumulation so far. Pre k is getting out early (no lunch bunch ), but now word yet on the big kids. I'm WFH, but that's normal.

I have one more load of laundry to do.
I might ask for more updates, if you don't mind. My folks are in South Jersey but my mom had surgery in Philadelphia this morning (around now, actually). They were planning on staying the night in Cherry Hill but I'm afraid they'll get stuck in Philly or Cherry Hill for a couple days if they don't book home this afternoon.

The heaviest snow is supposed to hit between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. And South Jersey is supposed to get more snow than Philly. They might get stuck.
I'm at work in South Jersey, southwest of Philly. We have a light dusting with light snowing falling. The roads look clear but it appears every local school district and DD's daycare are closing early. DD's school is closing before mine of course so H is leaving Trenton area around lunch to get her and hopefully beat the heavy accumulations.

Good to know - I'm hopeful they'll be out in time to just get home. They're a little over an hour from Philly, so if they're discharged by noon or 1pm, I think there will be time to carefully make it home. Maybe I'll call them to make sure.
When I talked to them yesterday afternoon, they thought they were only getting 2-3 inches. :?
Well so far it looked worse on Saturday morning than it does now.
Hoping DW gets to leave work early because her commute home is gonna suck. Hopefully de Blasio's press conference will be sufficiently dire sounding to prompt the leadership at her work to close early!
Flurries here. My babysitter just asked if she could do a dump and run with DD instead of staying until 5:30/6. My company has decided everyone should leave early anyway, so I may pick up DD myself.
We had a very cold and windy walk home from school. At least it was a short walk and the sidewalks were shoveled?
Love him!! How is he liking school?
He likes it as long as I'm there! It's been a bit of a rough transition since they switched up the teachers on us last minute. The new teachers are lovely people, but he's really slow to warm up to strangers.
I'm kinda bummed that his teachers from last semester (mommy and me type classes) are teaching the older class instead of his class. I was hoping they'd help him adjust more quickly. Mama needs a break! I'm the only parent still staying for the whole class. I escaped for 15 minutes last week and he screamed the whole time.
We just got the packet for the full day 2's program next year. I don't know how I can leave him from 9-2 if I can't even leave him for 2 hours.
