In the women's faculty bathroom at work, they have it stocked with pads and tampons, so I typically don't have to carry one to the restroom. If so, I slip it in my pocket. If I have no pockets on that day, I try to conceal it in my hand while walking down the hall.
How do you transport your tamponIs, pads etc. to the bathroom when you are at work? Do you take your purse? I slide it in my waist band or in my bra. Lol
I slide them up my sleeve, middle school style.
I teach middle school, so pretty much everyone knows what I'm doing.
This! Plus, I generally don't have time to be shuffling around with my purse in the RR! On a MS schedule I don't have leisurely bathroom time!

Re: feeling the need to conceal it.
I'm not embarrassed about my period and realize 98% of the females I see at my job have periods, too.
But it is still pretty awkward to be seen by a high school male student you teach while you are walking down the hall with a tampon in hand. It just is. So yes, I feel the need to conceal lol. If I worked somewhere else, I might not.
If you are done having kids, I HIGHLY recommend seeing about getting an ablation done. life changing, especially if you are using enormous kotex.
What is an ablation?
It's also can be called nova sure. If you are done having kids and you have heavy periods, they can basically cauterize your uterus. I had it done in November. I had very heavy periods every 3 weeks since I had my son. I had 1 day of spotting on over 2 months.
I wear jeans to work every day, so I stand as close to my bag as possible (I have a little filing cabinet next to my desk that my bag sits on all day) and quickly unzip the compartment and shove a pad in my pocket. I'm sure I'm totally obvious, so I then avoid eye contact with everyone as I head to the bathroom.
I have a little zippered case that holds a few pads as well as a travel toothbrush and floss. It says on the shelf next to the sink in the hallway bathroom. A few of the other teachers on my floor also have small cases that stay in the washroom as well. I think there's approximately 4-5 small cases and there are 10 who share this bathroom.
I just take my BC pills straight through and haven't had a period in 8 years! I wouldn't even know what to do with one anymore. Am I really the only one that does that?

Waistband or bra in the past. Also, our staff bathroom has a little shelf in it, and all the other female teachers would leave personal bags of tampons. However, I always ended up having my last one snagged right as I needed it. I've since switched to the Diva Cup and it is life changing. I will sing it's praises from the mountaintops, and I'm the opposite of a crunch hippie. I mean, we use paper plates and sometimes forget to recycle.

I work in an office with two menopausal women and a guy. A married guy, but still, not a guy who ever wants to think about when his coworker has her period, I'm sure!
I don't have actual cleavage, so I stick my tampons in the place where my cleavage would be if I didn't have A-cups, tucked under the center part of the bra.
I work on a unit with all women and the bathroom is actually located less than 10 steps from my break room where I keep my bag. I just carried it in my hand. sometimes I would just leave my little bag full of tampons in the bathroom.
Pocket or inside my sleeve, or I try to go right before or after lunch when I already have my bag with me. Waistband never quite feels right to me; I always feel like it's going to fall out. I never even thought about trying a bra carry; I don't really have room for anything other than my boobs in my bra cups.
At my last full time job, the ladies' room had a little closet. I kept a zippered cosmetics bag with a few tampons and panty liners, safety pins, a compact, a hairbrush and a couple hair clips and ties, etc. It was so nice to have a bathroom emergency kit.
Why all the secretiveness with bringing tampons to the RR?
That's just a little more information than I typically care to share with coworkers. Especially since I'm likely to be stopped on my way there - I don't really want to place my tampon on someone's desk while I look at a file with them. I guess I could use it to point out relevant parts. lol.

I work at a middle school. I would have to off myself if someone caught me carrying a tampon down the hall. Usually I stuff it in my waistband under my shirt to the right of center (where there's a natural divot). If I have a bulky sweater pocket, I'll use that...or long sweater sleeves, I'll do that.
I've hidden it in stacks of papers too - and there's a bathroom within the copy lounge so I can set the papers down and just carry the tampon in. I don't care if other teachers see me. But a 13 year old boy would be BAD.
