Oh no. I'm keeping you all in my prayers. I hope there is minimal damage, and that they can figure out why it happened so they can try and prevent it from happening again.
(Anecdote - my grandmother had a massive stroke and lived, rather feistily, for another 25 years.)

I'm so happy she called you and didn't just brush it off and that the hospital found the issue so quickly. Early treatment can really impact the recovery and outcome of strokes.
The actual clot is in her brain and in a spot they are unable to operate on. If she had gotten to the hospital within three hours they may have been able to do something. She waited too long.
Now her brain is swelling and they are moving her to a different hospital in case they have to operate on her brain to relieve pressure.
That is where all of the head pain is coming from.
My aunt is riding on the ambulance and I am following.
