BKB has this dot on the bottom of her foot. Looks like a wart. It isn't affecting her. Is it bad I just really don't want to take her to the doctor?
FIL is concerned. Thinks it is an infected splinter. I've never dealt with that before so I don't know what it looks like. H tried to pop it with a needle and nothing happened.
BKB doesn't like us to touch it and does say she has an ouchy on her foot. She puts full pressure on it and doesn't complain unless we inspect it.
Do you think she's only saying its ouchy bc you guys are looking at it and pointing it out and inspecting it? If she doesn't initiate saying it hurts and doesn't look like its getting worse I probably wouldn't go to doctor just for that. I'd be like you
It isn't getting worse. She's had it for over a month. She does say that her toe hurts from time to time (it isn't her toe it's the bottom of her foot). I can't tell if it is truely because it hurts or because it's there.
To complicate matters both her grandparents (my inlaws) had foot surgery, so sometimes she says her foot hurt to act like them.

I still can't decide. I'll probably take her in. It's not the money but the time involved. I just need to do it. Since it's not really affecting her I'm dragging my feet.
Though it isn't bothering her, and doesn't seem urgent, if it's a wart, removing it when it is small will be much easier (take fewer treatments) than if it gets bigger.

Meh, if it is a wart, it most likely won't hurt to leave it. Treatment is liquid nitrogen and that blisters and burns. If it were an infected splinter it would get worse and she would complain. Don't hurry, maybe bring it up at her well visit.

except that her well visit wouldn't be until october-ish? if it grows/changes, i would take her in..or if it doesn't go away after a few months.
