We just got through the flu with M, though she still has the lingering wet cough and stuffy nose (no fever anymore, thank goodness, we were on day 6 with a fever and almost had to get labs done). B has a wet cough, runny nose, and is also teething something awful. Both of them have bacterial pink eye. I am almost at my wit's end with B. I slept on the couch last night because the only place he'd sleep was the swing. He also just started rolling over a lot, so he's doing a mind leap, I think, too.
To top it all off, when I was changing his diaper, he pooped (like full-on pile of poop) on his Swaddle Me, and it was our only one since MIL has the other one. FML. Now I have to make do with an A+A blanket that won't hold him no matter what I do. I'm going to wash it in hopes it's done before he's tired enough to go to sleep, but OMG. I'm so done.
This too shall pass... This too shall pass... This too shall pass.
This kid has made me absolutely sure that we are done having kids, haha.
Hugs picks. It's been a rough week for you and the kids!
I feel so fortunate that this year E hasn't picked up anything other than a mild cold. I feel like she was sick for 6 months out of the last 2 years from one cold virus or flu or another. So maybe this year her immune system is finally strong.
I don't know how you're managing everything with two....
I'm sorry I can relate to all except the pink eye part. My oldest has a fever and baby has been sick forever. Like a month. The coughing keeps waking her up so no one is sleeping around here. I'm with you on the last one I hope everyone in your household is healthy and back to normal soon.
ahh yes. our second definitely confirmed the fact that we are never having kids again. ever. my husband had his consultation for his vasectomy, and i'm SO excited for it lol.
i'm sorry you're going through a rough patch..these winter months suck big time. last year, this time..my kids were sick for about 4 months straight..we've been lucky this year with only more mild stuff..i don't even want to think about what the flu would be like. hugs..hang in there momma.
