I'm glad you did it! The ony one I was present for was his e7, and I was too nervous to do it and mess it up, so I let his two good friends do it. I did get to pin his airborne wings though, and that was nice. Congratulations to your husband!

Thanks! It was pretty cool. My teen enjoyed it. LOL!! I think he did, too.
I think h has only had one real promotion ceremony that w was planned and scheduled. I was there because they made sure to schedule it around my work/get me access to the building, and it was kind of a big deal. I'm sure I'll go from here on out.
I've been present fora handful of friends promotions. And I've been to some awards ceremonies, both for the larger group things and individual for h. But I don't always make it for his stuff Just d/t various conflicts.
You know, now that I'm thinking of it, I did kind of pin him for the most recent. I didn't have to worry about actual pins though. He'd already had the new real sewn on and covered it with the old attached with tape or something. I don't know where he picked up that idea, but it definitely made things easy.
The most embarrassing part was all these muckity mucks congratulating me as along if I'd spent his paycheck yet. I'm guessing they'd not all that ofa civilian husband.
