The fact that C and D aren't up to speed is your manager's problem. I would do my fair share of the shared tasks, and let them fail. Covering their work would be of the lowest priority to me. If C and D can't hack it, mgmt needs to replace them. Sounds mean, but ... Sink or swim.

So, she was off the record. At some point, your manager is going to be held responsible for the reconciliation mistake. Plus, all of the monthly work of your department. Not you, her. That's what she is freaking out about.
Try to look at the big picture. You seem very valuable in your department. Even if you aren't treated that way or made to feel that way. Maybe you need to take a step back and really look at the position YOUR MANAGER is in. See your role, and start calling some of the shots.
Really see it. And start acting like you have a good deal of value.
After all, what else is your boss going to do? Without you?
