Last night I was watching tv with R, but I wasn't paying close attention because I was knitting, right? During the commercials, a Cialis commercial came on (sigh) that included the line - or something similar - "no need to take a pill or have to find a bathroom"
...
WTH? Find a bathroom? WHY would one need to find a bathroom in order to have sex (excluding having sex IN the bathroom, because I don't think that was the idea)? I asked R, since I'm not a guy and don't necessarily have a good sense of how things are always and he was like ... "uhhhhh, no idea. Penis pump maybe?" Which seemed like an acceptable answer until I thought about the commercial again - "... to find a bathroom". So are the olds just wandering around in public, decide now's a good time to have sex, wander until they find a public bathroom, use the penis pump they magically have with them, somehow manage to conceal the results of pump usage until they find a not-quite-100%-public spot to get it on, and then get it on? Because that seems unlikely in the best case scenario.
It's because it's also approved to be prescribed to combat frequent urination in males due to enlarged prostates. Or something like that.
But LOL to your train of thought - that's totally normal.
I just want to know why they show a man and woman in separate bathtubs at the end. What? I don't get it?
Ohhhhh! I sure wish they were more clear about that. Because the entire commercial is like "when the time is right, you'll be ready!" and I just spent the entire evening pondering this concept.
LOL it's ok. When you're half listening, it's easy to get confused because it was initially meant for one indication, then they added the second one. And then you're like what? Huh. I guess men of a certain age would be excited (pun intended) that they get a 2-fer with one pill.
ETA: Disclaimer: Not a doctor but I pretend to be one when I am sick or on GBCN.
LOL, Cialis is also prescribed for BPH which causes urinary frequency. For some olds, being able to empty their bladder completely and sleep through the night is better than sex I'm told. The way my dad described it sounded rather like the 9th month of pregnancy. Only it never ends.
I have deep thoughts about the tandem bathing al fresco.
DS has always been a history buff and consequently watched a lot of History Channel as a kid. The Hitler History Channel is sponsored almost entirely by prescription medications for ED and diabetes testing supplies. Once when DS was in middle school he sheepishly asked me why they always have the disclaimer about the erection lasting over 4 hours because he had that a lot. Sometimes it's hard to keep a straight face.
Let me help you out with this. "...or try to find a bathroom," refers to an alternative treatment for ED. The leading oral ED drugs such as Cialis, Viagra. Levitra, Stendra, Staxyn are not good for people with heart conditions as they can cause serious side effects. The leading competitor for these oral drugs is an injectable drug that causes blood flow to the penis but does not affect the user systemically. One of the leading drugs in the injectable form is Edex and it does come with a small travel kit that can fit in a purse, fanny pack, etc. It contains an alcohol swab and a premixed vial of the drug along with a needle, similar to a diabetes needle. To inject edex into the penis you need a few minutes in a clean and private environment. So, the ads that say "or try to find a bathroom" are referring to the time/place you'd need to inject a shot. Edex is a pre-mix of Prostaglandin that causes instant blood flow to the penis and can give a person with ED an effective erection that lasts well over 2 hours. I hope this helps. The ads are not inferring that you need to have sex in a bathroom or that the man using the oral meds may have to urinate frequently. Instead it refers to the "inconvenience" of needing a place to inject. Edex is one of many injectable ED drugs that are for men who have heart conditions or other conditions that are not tolerant of the side affects the leading oral meds can cause. Thanks, Gus
