I went to a LLL meeting last night for the first time. I even got to see Jen and Ms. Zoe who is absolutely adorable and well behaved.

Lots of great information there. I totally recommend going even during pregnancy if you plan to breast feed. I was astonished with the level of support they will offer.

Jen - am I right that as a member (and it sounds like as a non-member), I can call up one of the leaders and they will help me (possibly even come to my house) if I'm having issues?

And I think membership was $25 but I might be wrong.

Anyways, great support group amongst pregnant and breastfeeding mamas.

I haven't been to a meeting but I was thinking of going! When Kennedy was born and we were having issues breastfeeding I contacted a local leader and she was a great source for help and information.

I've been going to LLL meetings up here monthly and agree - such great support! My understanding is also that even as a non-member you can call them for help. I wish I had started going to meetings while I was pregnant too!

That's right, you don't have to be a member to call and ask for help.

It was so good seeing you last night! Zoe was in rare form - she is not usually that crazy and vocal around that many people, lol! She may have been like that since she was the only toddler there. Who knows!

I am glad you enjoyed the meeting! That was honestly the quietest meeting I have ever been to because there are usually kids running around making noise. Last night it was just my kid doing that. We were so excited to see so many new moms and pregnant women there! I wish some of the other experienced moms had been there too. Sometimes I feel like I don't have much to offer in terms of personal experience because Zoe and I haven't really had any problems with BFing.
