I just need to vent a little because I am afraid I am going to drive my H crazy if I keep venting to him. I had my laparoscopy/chromo pertubation on January 8- CD 3, which wasn't ideal but didn't affect the surgery. My doctor found a "mild case" of endometrosis and treated it without problem, my tubes were clear. My recovery was going perfectly, I had minor pain for a few days but was able to go back to my normal routine quickly. My doctor and my discharge paperwork said I could have discharge/spotting/bloat for 4-6 weeks following surgery but I didn't have bleeding or spotting for 2 weeks after surgery. I followed up with my doctor and everything was all good, the very next day I started spotting (she did not do an exam, just checked my incisions and discussed her findings). I spotted enough to need a liner until my period started - my period started at the normal time and lasted 5 days. With spotting and my period I was bleeding for 2 weeks. Everything seemed to clear up and go back to normal when my period ended....until CD21 and I have been spotting ever since (enough to need a liner again). Today is day 7, if we weren't successful TTC this month, I expect my period sometime between Wednesday-Friday, so possibly another week+ of dealing with this. I've never had spotting between periods and kind of blew it off the first time assuming it was part of my recovery, but I am 7+ weeks past my surgery and already sick of bleeding at random times. I checked in with my doctor just to have some assurance that this is normal, especially after the lap & she wants to see me tomorrow. She says it is normal to have abnormal bleeding following surgery but not this many days in a row and/or this often. I am just frustrated and now a little worried that she says this is abnormal. We had good timing this month per a +OPK, so I am trying to remain positive, but it is hard. Any good thoughts you could spare for tomorrow would be appreciated! Thank you for letting me vent!
I just had a similar surgery last week. I was told to expect my first period afterwards to be wonky, but I think you're right to check in with her. Hope you get answers soon!

I hope you have a smooth recovery!
I was on my period when I had surgery, it totally stopped, then first period post-op came at the normal time and lasted the normal length for me. This will be my 2nd cycle post-op, which is why I checked in with my doc- just wondering if this is normal or not to still have wacky cycles. Everything else has been normal so far- same O timeline, same length cycles.

So far so good! I'm hoping we can get right back at it next cycle because they were able to clear my tube but my dr. said there's no garuentee that it will stay open because of potential new scar tissue build up.
UPDATE: It's kind of a non-update but anyways, I saw my doctor yesterday and she did an exam (normal), culture (came back normal) and had blood work drawn to check progesterone (I was approx. 8 DPO). She was thinking my progesterone was low and that was causing the bleeding after ovulation. Progesterone came back normal and confirmed that I did ovulate this cycle. So, we wait and see. If I have spotting at any time the next cycle before AF is due I am supposed to call for an appointment where we will discuss other options. I have heavier spotting today and cramps, so I wait for CD1 which will probably be tomorrow. Thank you all for the good thoughts!
