Congratulations! Happy birthday to your sweet boy!
Post c-section advice: Start taking colace now, as soon as they'll let you, and the highest dose allowed. Don't wait too long on pain pills; take them on schedule for at least 2 days, then reevaluate.

Okay so a less great update, his blood sugar is too low so they had to take him to the special care nursery. I hate that I can't be with him yet because I'm still too numb to move.

I'm so worried but we are praying!
Lots of prayers-but try not to worry, this is very common.

1st: congrats!! Your son is exactly one month younger than mine and is about the same size!
2nd: I completely understand your worries. The special care/ NICU people are amazing though and I'm sure he's in good hands. I'll keep praying for him though. An FWIW while we were in the NICU almost daily a baby came in for observations and was back with his momma very soon! I hope the same for you!!

We very very narrowly avoided this, thanks to a nurse who did full heel blood collection (instead of just the prick). The pricks always read lower, often by quite a bit. They'll get him boosted (often a little formula or sugar water does it) and back in your arms. It's probably impossible, but rest if you can. He's in the best possible hands.

This happened with DS2, and it all turned out ok. Hopefully you are reunited soon!
