Note to self - post more before the gtg so people actually know who I am!
This exactly! As of right now I'm in! I'm going to line up a back up sitter in case dh gets called oot. He has a few Mexico trips Coming up in the next couple months.
I hope this doesn't come off Stage 5 Clingery, I swear I'm not! But I haven't made many friends since moving out this way last spring. DH and I plan to buy up in Oakland County when we're ready to buy so...I will meet anyone for lunch or dinner or whatever. It would be nice to spend time with people other than DH and the kids.
Driving is no issue for me, I'm from DC. Everything takes an hour back home lol.
Shit! I didn't vote in time. Both sets of parents will be in town for N and E's recital that weekend for us, so I don't think I'll make it, an N has afternoon dress rehearsal that day. That's what I get for multitasking and not focusing on the important things!
Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. - G. K. Chesterton
I would just do it today but I don't know any restaurants in the area and I've got a lot of work to catch up on so I won't have time to research and look at yelp reviews.
In Royal Oak, I'd suggest Peking House, Red Coat Tavern, and Duggan's (Duggan's is on Woodward, not downtown).
In Troy there's mostly chains, unless we wanted somewhere like Alibi or Camp Ticonderoga.
Ah Red Coat Tavern. Piedmont burger for the win. I've been gone from Michigan for years but I think about that burger often and that's the first place I'd eat if I ever visited the region.

Maybe, just maybe...it might be warm enough to sit outside. Oh, who am I kidding. It's April in MI...it will be cold. :/
