I'm so sorry. What a hard place to be for all of you. I'm sending good and healing thoughts to your MIL. Is there any chance you can go see her anyway? My apologies if it's terrible advice in your situation but when my dad was in the hospital (cancer, surgery) last fall he was weird about us visiting because he didn't want us to see him that way. We eventually said 'we love you and we are coming anyway.' It turned out well for us, but I don't know your specifics.
Oh puddle. How sad and hard. I am here if you need an ear. We can connect on FB if you want. I've been through lymphoma and leukemia with my dad. Big hugs to you.
Damn, I'm sorry. I really hope you can get some answers tomorrow. I always think as hard as it is to be with someone who's sick, it's 10,000 times harder not to be with them.
