8 hours sick time last month. I will be taking 8 hours vacation pay this Friday while I sit at home and wait on the repair guy. I got lucky and didn't get docked when I had to leave an hour early every day last week, but I typically eat through lunch to make up for any time I have to miss.
1 day! (no kids) I get six weeks a year, and I have 4 weeks that carried over from prior years already accrued. I have two big trips this year, but I need to start working on a few others, obviously!
All of it. I use it as quickly as I earn. I've used 24 hours. When the base closes for weather, I have to use my PTO to cover it, plus I'm a single mom of a 2 year old, so I use quite a bit.
This is why I have almost 500 hours saved up (in separate sick/vacation banks).
AND you have kids. This gives me hope. I'm a leave hoarder- the leave I've used is comp time. I haven't used any of my sick leave (523.75 hours) or annual leave (270 hours) yet this year. I'm going to earn 160 hours of annual leave this year, and I have to use it all, because I'm maxed out on what I can carry over.
I've taken three full days and two partial days so far. Effing snow/daycare closing.
ETA- I get 144.5 hours per year. I have days off coming up in April, May, June, and then a week in September and the rest will rollover because it's pretty difficult to get PTO in my department.
8 hours of vacation time. Took a day off when family visited to go to Disney. I don't have plans to take any more vacation time off until May. I feel guilty/like a slacker taking any time off, I don't know why.
3 sick days. 1 for the flu, 2 for surgery. I'm hoping to take a week for vacation sometime in June. I earn 200 hours a year of pto (sick and vacation) and I'll save the rest for hopefully mat leave.
With me juggling two kids that seem to get sick every other week and baby sitters who also get sick or injured. Too many Unscheduled PTO hours this year for me. I don't know the total, but I'm sure I'll hear about it during my yearly review.
