Spent an hour or maybe it was an hour and a half at the emergency vet last night for my little pup. It was so sad seeing him lethargic and weak. They still aren't sure what exactly is causing him to be sick but sent us home with subcu fluids and an anti nausea shot. We took shifts on the couch once we calmed down enough to try for sleep around 3:45 am.
He woke up about forty minutes ago and was finally hydrated enough to pee a little. Hopefully there's no more vomiting or diarrhea now.
So scary! Little dude is a momma's boy already and seeing his lethargic 10 lb body is super scary.
Thanks HoneySpider and katiek. He just peed again, but also had more liquid poops. But on the plus side, is he's not lethargic anymore. Last night we couldn't wake him up and he is now acting like his little rambunctious self (nibbling our fingers and toes, trying to chew my shirt, responding to his name and coming when called).
H was already scheduled off today to stay home and keep introducing the dogs, but I called in. I'm so worried about him, but feeling a little better now that he's acting like he had the first two days and is peeing again.
jjwritergirl - the same thing happens to me at my in-laws. i'm convinced it's dust and unswept/unkept pet dander. we actually stay at a hotel now, because my eyes will water, nose will itch, and it'll trigger a headache.
i've been arguing medical and pharmacy bills all morning. it's so infuriating.
I need to call about my medical bills this morning.
Also, DH lost his wallet. We can't find it anywhere. He is pretty sure he had it last night and remembers sitting it down somewhere different and thinking it was a bad idea. I've been through this house multiple times. I'm gonna keep checking though.

I took our dog to the vet this morning. I noticed a growth on her "wrist" part of her leg and the vet said the cells she took out were not normal but not sure what kind of cells they are without further testing. She definitely wanted it removed, so I'll take her back in tomorrow for that. She's getting a teeth cleaning while she's under, too. Poor pup. She was so scared, shaking the entire time we were at the vet. She even pooped a little on their floor, literally scared shitless. She's not going to be happy going back in there tomorrow.
Puppy update: Regular vet's office called to follow up and when they heard he was still having diarrhea, they wanted us to come in for a parvo test. My heart sank... But good news is parvo test was negative. Bad news is we're not entirely sure what it is- possibly bacterial or viral infection. No more vomiting since last night though.
ginkgoleaf Hope your pup feels better and that it is nothing serious. Moose loves the vet- he was happy to hang out with the techs even after his neutering surgery. Poor Max though has had four qtips in the butt between last night and now, and he is not a fan of car rides or the vet now.
@moonbeam not yet DH comes home for lunch and we were looking again. No idea where it could be. I'm tempted to have my nieces look while they are here. Maybe they will think of some place we haven't.
Had my HSG today and the news is, for the most part, not very good. I see my surgeon on Friday and my RE next Friday.
CRAP. I'm sorry What did they say?
I'll try and give the short version:
Left tube is mostly blocked, right tube is open but damaged. Basically no chance to conceive naturally or with IUI. So looks like we'll move to IVF but they may want to remove the damaged tube first. When we meet with the RE we'll see what she suggests. They may do a laparoscopy to check things out and also look for endometriosis - for the first time, I have had a doctor finally consider that I may have it. My mom has it so it has always been one of those things I've worried about but didn't have "bad enough" symptoms for anyone to really take it seriously. Whether I have it or not it would just be nice to know. But he thinks the damage to the tube could be from endo.
The good news is my surgeon has been doing an awesome job and my uterus looks good, no scar tissue. When I see her on Friday she'll take a better look and hopefully confirm that and then I'll be done seeing her.

HoneySpider I can't imagine everything you've been through. I hope this is that last puzzle piece and that you can make a plan now that works quickly. What a roller coaster
