I've always used eyeliner in a pot that I apply with a brush but I feel like it's too thick. I habe sensitive skin. Any recommendations?
Also looking for mascara. I kind of liked benefit they're real but I need more help with volume than length. I tried Lights Camera Lashes and it rubs off, I have dark circles by dinner time and it's worse if I don't use primer.
I'm kind of wondering about Kat Von D for both? Yes/no?
I've been using Cover Girl Lashblast Volume in Black. I get the waterproof formulation and it's been holding up just fine. I haven't found a high end mascara that has outperformed a drug store brand (yet.)
One of my favorites is actually NYC Showtime. I think it's less than $4 a tube.
For eyeliner, I really like Tarte pencils. I think thy are called smolder eyes. For mascara, I'm a huge fan of Too Faced Better Than Sex. I feel like it gives me volume and curls my lashes. It comes off much easier than They're Real but doesn't flake off during the day.
I've been liking the Stila automatic liners more than my UD ones lately. They apply so smooth and creamy. And they are small point in size.
Masacra... I hoard a bunch of brands and use one at a time. None have been impressive enough to repurchase. I did try the new IT cosmetics one in store and that was nice. But no idea on long term
I will always love Voluminous. Especially after I use it for a couple of weeks. I feel like mascara's always better when it's not brand new and it's dried out just a bit.

I use maybelline rocket volume mascara. Ive used everything from UD to benefit to Dior mascara and its by far my favorite. As for liner, i use Stila stay all day if i want a liquid liner and sephora retractable liner for a gel liner look

I've got nothing on the eyeliner front.
But I recently got a sample of Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill and I'm obsessed. Before I was all about lights camera flashes (in the gold tube, not purple) but eyes to kill might be better.

I have allergic reactions to liners and mascaras, so I'm limited. I'm always looking for a liner that doesn't make my eyes itch, so I usually default to Lancome kohl liner, or just use a darker eye shadow. I'm waiting for a good sale to try out some L'Oreal liners, in hopes that they're similar formulas to Lancome.
For mascara, I love Lancome. I haven't bought any in a while, since I've had lots of samples: They're Real (like, but it's a harsh formula for my lashes), MAC (meh), MUFE (meh), Roller Girl (only used a few times, so time will tell).

I love the Maybelline rocket mascara too. I just started using it about a month ago and it's my new favorite. I also love Stila Stay All Day liner. It's one of the few eyeliners that actually stays on me.
Eyeliners: I'm another UD 24/7 fan, although I recently got a Too Faced liner that I'm loving.
Mascara: I love all the mascaras. For volume, I've found Too Faced's Better than Sex gives me the most. But I also love Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes and Lancome's Star Hypnose.

FTR, the mascaras I use the most are Benefit They're Real (which heyjude hates), Bare Minerals Lash Domination, and Too Faced Better Than Sex. Better Than Sex seemed way too clumpy at first, but once I started scraping the excess from the wand on the bottle before applying, I loved it.
One of the things about Mascara is that I don't think there are huge differences between prestige and drugstore. You can find great and awful in both places.
Have you tried tube mascaras? They might give you the staying power you want, even to the extent of being waterproof, without the reaction.

My favorite mascara is Bobbi Brown Smokey Lash. But I haven't had to pay full price for it yet, as I'm still working through Sephora point samples. I might feel differently when I have to fork over $29.
Eyeliners - NYX Slide Ons are great, except I don't love the black one. I haven't found a drug store black eyeliner I adore. I do really like the NYX skinny marker. But it is prone to fading, which I suppose is better than melting or smearing. The black eyeliner I use the most often is also Bobbi Brown, also obtained with points. I really like it, and given I haven't found any other black liner I like as much, that might be the one I pay full price for. For colored liners, I have a bunch I like -- NYX Slide Ons, UD Glide Ons, Marc Jacobs Skyliners, and Stila Smudge Sticks.
Also, nobody asked, but the UD Grindhouse pencil sharpener is a must buy for sharpening your pencils.
