Up until Winter 2013, I had the same routine year round. Now I have my Spring-Summer-Fall routine and a Winter routine because Winter now turns my face to peeling paper.
Spring-Summer-Fall:
Wash with gentle cleanser/Clarisonic every other day Apply resveratrol product (AM) or retinol product (PM) Sunscreen (AM) or moisturize (PM)
Wash with cleanser Apply toner Apply moisturizer + two drops of Resist Oil Booster (a miracle in a bottle for dry skin)
I did not try using any active products this winter because my skin was in such dire straits that I was scrambling to find my miracle routine and any retinol product was just too strong. Now that I (think I) know how to handle things, I will try adding active products back in next winter.
AM - splash w/ water. apply Mary Kay day serum (essentially just an spf booster), volufill stuff on my forehead wrinkle that annoys me, and gel eye moisturizer around my eyes. Then apply all over moisturizer w/ spf (cheap basic oil of olay), then makeup.
PM - Oil cleansing method for cleansing and makeup removal. (I use a mix of avocado and castor oils) Additional eye makeup cleanup as needed with coconut oil. Whatever sample of some wrinkle shit I have laying around. (at the moment it's bare minerals multi-wrinkle repair. I'm not convinced any of these do anything) Yes to Blueberries eye cream and at the moment the Yes to Cucumbers night cream - but i'm almost out of that and am in the market for something else. it's ok. I don't love it. It's very soothing, but i feel like it doesn't ever actually sink in. My face still feels kinda greasy in the AM.
Night - wash face. I'm currently using the Balm's lavender soap. It doesn't foam and doesn't feel all that cleansing. It also smells more like medicine than lavender. I'm going back to OH red tea cleanser.
Morning - May use soap if face feels greasy, otherwise just rinse with water. OH truth serum, and OH Sheer Transformation.
I still don't really have one, I'm still in the "try everything" phase of skin care. Right now it's like this:
Morning: I typically just do cold water to wake myself up and follow with truth serum (I got a sample so I'm trying it out) if I have any blemishes I use the Murad acne spot thing.
Night: I take my makeup off with either Yes to Coconuts or Grapefruit wipes followed with Mario Bedescu Acne wash, occasional exfoliating (maybe once a week, twice if I've been working out a lot.) I either put on dermologica acne toner and follow with Murad spot fix (if I have a breakout) or I just use whatever sample I have at the moment.
I'm super tempted to try out some Paula's Choice products but I have so many other things I need to get rid of first.
I have sensitive skin, sometimes eczema and I break out easily if there's something in a product that my skin doesn't like. This skin care regimen has given me the best results ever.
Morning: cereve foaming cleanser, in winter when it's dry I use the cereve cream, clinique citi block spf 45, clinique eye cream w/ spf
I've discovered the joy that is Laneige products from Target. Laneige is a Korean beauty brand, owned by Amore Pacific, and they make some amazing products. They're spendy for Target (In the $30-35 range for each product) but I've seen dramatic improvements with ongoing dryness and redness problems I've had for years.
...from what I can tell, if you have normal/oily skin, it's not the line for you, though.
AM: splash with water, often but not always use cleanser serum . Sometimes moisture cream, depending on how my skin feels depending on time of year/plans for the day, sunscreen (I live in Seattle, so it's not a year-round necessity here) makeup. Usually, that means tinted moisturizer or BB/CC instead of a full foundation.
PM: remove eye makeup with Almond Oil Laneige Cleanser (or, if I'm feeling totally wrung out, Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes) Laneige moisture cream. Laneige Water Bank Sleeping Mask (most nights, depending on how my skin feels)... this product makes the angels cry with happiness. I don't wake up feeling dry and tight in the skin anymore. It feels good, smells good, is good ELF Lip Exfoliator & whatever lip balm I feel like.
Morning Wash with First Aid Beauty face wash Moisturize with Josie Maran SPF 47 Argan moisturizer
Evening Remove eyemakup with Ponds Wash with Josie Maran argan oil cleansing face wash stuff Moisturize with Fresh Seaberry Oil Moisturize with Ole Henricksen Sheer Transformation Bite Agave Lip Mask (sometimes preceded with some Bite Cherry lip scrub)
Every 5-10 days or so, i.e. when I feel like it -- scrub with Ole Henricksen Walnut Scrub, followed by First Aid Beauty Oatmeal Mask
I admire all of you that have a set list of products. I am always working off samples and almost never purchase skin care.
At night:
Merle Norman cleansing cream to remove eye make-up Cleanse Serum eye cream Moisturizer
twice a week I exfoliate. I also at least once a week do a mask of some kind. Boscia's black is my fave. Using a Freeman cucumber right now that is nice for the price.
Morning I do moisturizer with SPF. Lancôme 'High Résolution Refill-3X™' Triple Action Renewal Anti-Wrinkle Cream SPF 15 is my fave. I just bought some of that when they started the Lancome GWP
I switched to this back in December after trying everything to get rid of clogged pores that popped up after using clinique for years. My skin has never looked better. I'm using Paula's Choice Resist line for breakouts and wrinkles.
Morning: splash of water Weightless Advanced Repair toner Youth extending daily fluid spf 50
Am: Wash with clinque or first aid beauty Moisturize with SPF
PM Wash with Boscia oil Clinique toner Moisturize with clinique dramatically different Roller ball of Tarte Maracuja oil all over Maybe some SYTB eye cream tho not sure it does anything Chap stick, lately the rosebud salve but sometimes just Vaseline
I'm not sure it really matters what you use to take care of your skin as long as you use products that are right for your skin type (eg I'm dry), you wash your face every night, and you slather on the SPF in the am.
Eta: and don't forget about your neck and décolletage!!!

I use the oil cleansing method. Right now I'm using olive oil/castor oil whenever I take a shower, a quick scrub with a wet washcloth at the end of the day.
I use Cetaphil on face/body and then put Neutrogena Age Shield SPF 70 sunscreen on my face/neck. Usually just Cetaphil on my face at night.
Occasionally I use a face scrub to exfoliate -- right now I'm trying the Shea Moisture one that's raw shea butter.
I moisturize the heck out of my skin. I have combination skin and would get awful scaly patches on my cheeks, since CO is a really dry climate. With the OCM, I still have to deal with controlling overall shine, but at least I don't have the dry spots as well.
AM: Rinse with water or wash with CeraVe Hydrating DIY Vit C serum CeraVe lotion CeraVe cream around eyes and on lips sunscreen Banana Boat SPF lip balm throughout the day. It's pretty matte, so it wears nicely under other lip products.
PM: Baby oil/mineral oil to remove makeup CeraVe Foaming or CeraVe Hydrating Stridex Maximum (every other day) Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle (every other day) CeraVe PM moisturizer CeraVe cream around eyes and on lips Nivea Creme mixed with a bit of Aquaphor
Once or twice a month I do an at-home peel. Right now I use MUAC 40% Lactic Acid, but I'd like to switch over to MUAC 30% Glycolic eventually. I also do a QH Mint Julep mask every once in awhile.
I've been doing the Asian beauty routine for the past year, so better take a seat because this will be long lol. Most of the products in my routine are Korean.
ETA: I am 38, mostly oily and really struggled with acne last year. This routine has improved my skin a lot.
AM - cleanse with Sum:37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick or Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip. Sometimes I'll use Amorepacific enzyme peel which is actually a powder cleanser with papaya enzymes for exfoliating. - Benton Aloe BHA toner - Missha First Treatment Essence - Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence - Neutrogena spot treatment, 2.5 benzoyl peroxide on any zits - Sunday Riley Start Over eye cream - Benton Aloe Propolis gel (light moisturizer) mixed with tiny bit of Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream - Paula's Choice Antioxidant serum - Olive Young sunblock gel SPF 30
PM - first cleanse either Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm or Banila Co cleansing sorbet. Or, Nude Skincare Omega Jelly - second cleanse either Sum:37 MRCS or Sunday Riley. Actually last night I used Amorepacific cleansing foam - vit C serum, OST20 - Missha First Treatment Essence - Benton snail bee essence - Pocketderm RX treatment (niacinamide, clindamycin and azelaic acid) - Sum:37 time energy repairing and resetting serum - Benton Aloe Propolis gel mixed w/ a small amount of Benton snail bee steam cream - Fresh Seaberry oil if I'm feeling dry
- Laneige Water Bank EX sleeping mask or Fresh Peony Brightening Sleeping Mask 2x a week - sheet mask 1-2x a week - Tata Harper, Glamglow, Fresh Black tea or DDF sulfur clay mask when I remember.
AM/PM: Cleanse with Philosophy Purity cream cleanser. Tone with Target brand alcohol-free toner (generic of Neutrogena Alcohol-free toner.) Moisturizer with First Aid Beauty ultimate moisturizer.
PM: Remove make-up with Pond's Original Cold Cream then regular cleansing routine.
1X/week - Murad Vit-C exfoliating peel.
I also started getting monthly facials and I'm sampling two eye creams from Clinique.
AM: cetaphil, thrice weekly swap out cetaphil for OH walnut scrub. Then murad essential c toner, OH truth serum, origins ginzing eye cream, murad essential c moisturizer with SPF
PM: right now I'm using a Peter Thomas Roth anti aging face wash and working my way night cream samples from sephora
mominatrix, I also love the Laneige sleeping mask. It's so hydrating but doesn't break me out. I wake up the next morning with supple skin and a little bit of glow. Love!
Have you tried their cushion compact? That is another fave of mine from Laneige.

I've finally found a good routine for me, my skin is fairly normal but gets a little dry with some breakouts at that time of the month. This routine has decreased the severity and length of the breakouts quite a bit, and my skin feels nice
Most evenings: Remove eye makeup with Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips Remove face makeup with whatever wipes were cheap at the time (Elf is my favorite but my local Target is chronically out of stock) Wash & moisturize like the morning.
I'll probably have to find a moisturizer with SPF for summer, but sheer transformation is by far my favorite moisturizer I've tried. Most others make me break out or somehow dry my skin.
First Aid Beauty Red Clay Cleanser Clarisonic AVEDA Tourmaline Charged Serum Murad Perfecting Skin Moisturizer Kiehl's Sunscreen
PM:
Sephora brand makeup remover (eyes) Biore Exfoliating cleanser (to remove face makeup) Ole Henricksen Aloe Cleanser Clarisonic Lancome Overnight Recovery Mask AVEDA Green Science Eye Cream Lip scrub. (I rotate between Sara Happ Lemonade and Lush's Bubblegum) Fresh Lip Treatment
ETA: Also I do face masks twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday usually). My favourites are Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask, Origins Charcoal Mask and AVEDA Deep Cleansing Herbal Clay Mask.
I have combination skin that requires a lot of exfoliation. I don't use my Clarisonic 2x daily everyday, but I do most days.
Once a week I use the Paula's Choice weekly resurfacing treatment (10% AHA).
Have you used the 4% retexturizing foam? I'm interested in a comparison between 4% and 10% (an sensitivity) and if the 10% smells as bad as the 4%.
I haven't. You can buy samples of the 10% though, since it's a liquid. It sort of "blasts off" ant dead skin that my daily exfoliation doesn't and makes my skin SO smooth.
