I'm hoping the tf metallics and the spring palette are in the stores by then.
Other than that, I dunno. I've been feeling rather blah about all the makeup out there. I need to catch up on my blog reading and vlogger watching to see what I *need* to have.
I'm not terribly excited about the sale. There aren't too many things i am crazy about buying.
I am tentatively buying: Elizabeth and James Black rollerball perfume. I got a sample and love it but I am not sure I can get past the fact that it's a Olsen sister product. UD Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Ladyflower. I want the non-sheer but they don't make that color right now. UD Revolution Lipstick in Liar - my perfect nude. Bite Mini Matte Cream in Gavi - I love the smell
I really don't need that many new lipsticks though so I may cut one.
My main plan was to get the Ambient Lighting palette but I got a better price on it with the sleekNK voucher.
heyjude, I'm planning on getting the First Aid Beauty Eye Remedy as well. I've come to the realization that concealer isn't going to solve my problems and after giving it a try in store that might help diminish the terrible canyon under my left eye.
I've also got HG Primer and Living Proof Curl Enhancing Mousse as my needs but if I'm good on funds I might splurge and pick up Nars Sin blush.
I am no longer VIB since I buy so much from Birchbox and Nordstrom (prefer their rewards). I do think I will pick up the Living Proof Style Extender since I have been loving a sample I have. It's magic on my hair!
-replacement brush heads for the clarisonic -one or two Bite Butter Cream Lipsticks -an Hourglass lipstick -BB Invisible Hairdressers Oil Shampoo and Conditioner -OH Truth Serum and facial oil
Based on last year? All the time? Right? I got like 4 coupons last year throughout the year.
Hmmm, I don't remember this. I don't think I made my first Ulta order until much later last year.
Plus they are erratic with their coupons.
I kind of want to order one thing a day from Sephora for all 10 days of the Rouge sale. If that is the best they are going to offer me, I want to take advantage. Kind of like when I go to a nice hotel, and all the toiletries are just some shitty no-label kind, but I take them anyway because I paid like $200/night to be there.
But then I feel bad for all the trees that will die for the giant boxes they will send me.
Sephora is losing the customer rewards game to Ulta big time in my book. This sale isn't great, I can't remember the last 500 point reward that got me excited, and Ulta's points for discounts policy makes me far more interested in shopping there than in getting samples for my Sephora points. Granted, I'm cranky in general this afternoon, but I'm really not feeling much Sephora love right now.

This is what sends me to Nordstrom whenever possible. I would rather earn rewards on my Nordstrom card.

I do feel the same way, I just wish Nordstrom carried a few of the lines I really like at Sephora. I believe Too Faced and Tarte are the main ones. I like that Nordstrom can sell me MAC.

I get it. But I'm really torn. I hate Ulta's website and horribly slow shipping. I also hate their erratic method of only sending coupons to some people but not others. And I don't have the patience to wait for a good deal.
Sephora's rewards are shittier but they are consistent and service is better.
I am pissed about the crappy point perks and coupon codes as of late. Rouge doesn't mean anything. I'm annoyed, but I still despise Ulta's service more than Sephora's rewards.
Well I'm defintely not going to be getting anything at sephora that I could get at ulta for 20% off. Goodbye Hello Flawless from my cart!
Nice job sephora.
I'm really torn as to whether I should buy the 2 UD lipsticks or wait and get them at Ulta. I am close to $50 off worth of points so I could essentially get them for free. If I use my points when there is also a coupon I'll be in even better shape.

I think Ulta is SHIT. I have 3 nearby that I have switched between (more on that below). I have NEVER, not ever had anyone approach me or offer to put makeup on me or show me a product they're excited about. I consistently have to wait in a long line (I get my brows done there). They're always out of stuff, blank spaces on the shelves everywhere. I think their people are all just cashiers, not trained in makeup. I never get the coupons that everyone else gets even though I am signed up for emails and have a rewards card and whatnot. 2 days ago, I tried to call to schedule my brows, and no one answered the phone. For a fucking half hour at 11 in the morning.
I stopped going to one when the waxist assured me she knew what she was doing because she wasn't retarded. And I stopped going to the second one when the waxist complained about her apartment area going "ghetto" because of Obama's free college money bringing in lowlifes to her area. NOPE. Ulta can fuck off. In fact, I'm going to C&P this into an email right now to them because I got that pissed listing it all.
It's so interesting how we all have different experiences. I love my local Ulta - it's always stocked, never crowded, and the clerks leave me alone. Any time I order from Ulta, I receive my order within a week. I also get so many more discounts from them.
Sephora has more brands that I like, but I never get discounts and the sales people wandering around won't leave me alone. I am probably the only person in the world who prefers to shop in a busy store!
I actually find myself buying most makeup online today, partly because some of my favorite brands are online only and partly because I'm more likely to get a coupon/discount/sale.

I've had a similar experience as NewOrleans with Ulta. I barely get acknowledged when I walk into Ulta. No one is ever around when I have a question. Never get the email coupons, although I signed up for emails and have a rewards account.
I've never gotten a coupon from ulta, but I don't shop there often so maybe that's why?
Regardless, until Ulta has a physical presence in town, Sephora gets the bulk of my money. I don't want the hassle of mailing stuff back, and I like playing with products to see what I really want and don't want after all.
