We're having friends over for tapas and dying eggs Saturday. We haven't entertained in forever, so I'm excited!
Sunday we'll have church and either make a full ham dinner or paella --we spent Holy Week in Spain last year and are feeling nostalgic, as our menu suggests!
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

We are going to the hometown for the weekend. FIL's birthday celebration at some point, and a hopefully making it to my great aunt's Sunday afternoon. She hosts family field day on Easter - big lunch and at least 50 people with sack races, 3 legged races, tug of war, etc. for all ages.
FI will be oot for most of it so I have a girlfriend's brunch, shopping, and massage/acupuncture planned. He has a couple interviews at firms in NYC then will spend fri/sat with his family. We will go to my grandma's for Easter. I'm bringing cupcakes.

I didn't have plans or even realize it was Easter, then my aunt called me today to invite us over. We live like 6 miles from her now, so it's nice to have family around.
niq Oh and have I missed any update about your kitchen and repairs?
Arrrrrrgh I have been slacking off on this but unwilling to let msniq pick up the slack out of misguided stubborn pride... but with is enough, it's time to delegate some of this stuff.
Thankfully the insurer is going to cover replacing the countertops, which means our OOP costs should be reasonable. But we don't even have bids yet.

I'm going to Canada, and we'll have Easter with SO and his three boys. I always make an egg hunt with actual clues/riddles. I have to admit I'm a little stumped for ideas this year. They are getting to be teenagers and the clues have to be so much harder...
It's the conclusion of my spring break, so I'm hoping for low key. May go to the in,was for lunch then I'm making ham, macaroni-and-cheese, green beans two ways, rolls, deviled eggs, and pie. Yay leftovers!
My DS1 has spring break from school next week. My dad graciously booked a last minute VRBO condo for us to spend 6 days at the beach. It will be my parents, myself and 2 small, energetic boys. I will definitely need a vacation after my vacation. I am bringing a case of wine.

We're spending Easter with DW's family in New Jersey. It's actually the first time visiting my in-laws house and I'm worried it's going to be waaaay too much 1 on 1 time. Luckily we have some stuff planned Saturday to get out of the house. Sunday will be church and Easter dinner.

Having a family girls night on Saturday. Doing some shopping, wine tasting and watching the Badgers in the Final Four!!! Hopefully get in some hot tub time at the hotel afterwords.
Not sure about Sunday, my mom invited us for dinner but nothing definite planned.
Holidays are so depressing for us now--now that FIL is gone, mil throws all of her effort and energy into making it magical for the grandkids (yes, even Easter). As the only childless members of the family, we are usually an afterthought/only invited to dinner (as opposed to the Easter egg hunt/brunch for the kids)
Like niq, I will be singing my heart out and H will be the handy heathen spouse I'll sing at 9:30, then H still drop DD off for 11:30 Mass with me (and hopefully an Easter Bunny visit). DH will set up the Easter egg hunt at our house, which will happen as soon as DD and I get home. DH will likely cook a lovely turkey breast dinner with all the fixins.
Friday DD has no school, so we're punting. Saturday I have a flurry of morning and early afternoon activities before I spend most of my evening at church.
We'll be headed to NC for the week. I made plans before I realized it was Easter. Oh well, now we'll just do something there or not. Doesn't matter to me (not religious) and my little one is too young to notice. It would be cute to watch her find eggs though.

irene adler, I want to give you a giant hug and a more giant beer
One of my BFFs flies in tomorrow. She's mostly chilling out while I work and have a board meeting on Wednesday, but I'm taking Thursday afternoon off to take her to NYC, where we'll meet a friend for dinner. Friday night we're at my in-laws' house, and we are hosting a seder on Saturday night.
for 22 people
(hot)
I'm mildly freaking out. Menu will not be super-interesting. Kosher for Passover dairy meal, so probably eggplant-mushroom matzah lasagna. Four of those, in fact.
Sunday we'll clean up after Saturday night and then head to a friend's seder.
Well we cancelled a long weekend away because of my work so I'm pissy. But now H has an interview on Friday anyway so it works out. We may go up to Napa for the day or drive somewhere else semi-close by.

Saturday at mentee's robotics competition Saturday night baking spree making lots of soda bread Sunday morning and early afternoon history based charity event Sunday evening family easter dinner
We hosted this last weekend because we will be out of town this weekend. This was for my side of the family. BBQ and all the fixings. We then had a egg hunt for all the little ones. 10 months to 7 years.
We will be leaving Thursday to pick-up DD1 at school and spend the night there. Then on to SC to meet-up with family. DS will be coming from NC to meet us there. I am so excited......
