I was always bummed that I didn't get the barn. You know, the one that made a "moo-ooo" sound when you opened the door.
We had this and my mom keeps it in the living room for DD to play with. She loooves the moo-ing door and always runs each piece over to my dad to set up scenes with her
ETA: I like to put all the people in the fence area like its a people farm and the animals are in charge. I'm apparently still 5 around this thing.

We had almost all of these. And my mom still kept them. My nephews love playing with them. It warms my heart to know that so many others have the same fond memories of these toys! We have a whole universe built in the living room with the town, school, barn, house, airport... We'd even use blocks to build roads connecting everything. My dad would come home and get yelled at Us to not kick it all apart on the way to his chair!! Poor dad!!!
And the Playmobil stuff is amazing. My ILs brought some for L to use that both my husband AND his sister used and they look like they came out of the store brand new yesterday. No plastic toy these days would hold up for 35 years!

My dad was doing work in the backyard and found some little people that had been buried for over 25 years. We just had to rinse the dirt off and they were ready for play!
I love the old little people sets! My parents still have the house, barn, school bus and a ferris wheel along with random cars, people and Sesame Street characters. L always plays with them when we go over.

I'll shake my cane with you. It is like toys now are designed to be disposable.
I had the schoolhouse as a kid. I love that thing so much. I mentioned it to my mom recently, and she was like, I asked you if you wanted it before I got rid of it! Uhhh... I was like 16 at the time, I didn't know I'd get all nostalgic and want it back once I had my own child!
My DD plays with my old zoo at my moms house. I wish she would have saved the Western Town, that one was my favorite.
My H always talked about his awesome FP castle with the secret doors and stuff. I found one for him at a garage sale for $5. He wasn't as excited as I was.
I follow people in Instagram solely because the sell little people things from when I was a kid. The nostalgia makes my feed is happy.
We also buried our little people but in the sandbox. When our old town tore the house down the house I grew up in my cousin and I dug up all our little people too haha.
I loved all the old Little People toys! The new ones are pretty cool, too. Caleb has started amassing quite the collection. He has the school, barn, Noah's ark, pirate ship, play ground, and ice cream shop. We've got the minivan around here somewhere, too.
My MIL kept tons of her kids' old toys, but mostly the original MLP toys. I feel so nostalgic when I see the kids playing with them!
