I have the day off, which means I'm planning my wardrobe around the makeup I want to wear rather than doing it the other way around.

Argh. The Temptalia makeup is just way too much for me! I want to like her because she has all the makeups, but when she plasters it all on her face at once, I grimace! I like the reviews at times (although there have been quite a few times that I don't agree), but hate when she shows herself wearing it. I don't think I like her technique when it comes to applying makeup.

Uh, so I managed to hit pan on a ColourPop shadow during my first use of it. Those pans are really, really shallow! In terms of weight, there's less than half as much product in them as a Mac Paint Pot, but the volume has to be much less. They are cheap and lord knows I have more shadow than I will ever use in a lifetime, but I was just surprised at how very little product there actually is.

People who have used their CP shadows a lot - are you going through the product quickly?

Whoa. I wonder if you got a dud. I know they aren't that deep but that seems extreme. Have you had this issue with all of them?

I will say I have wondered about how much actual product is in the pot just because the product seems so light and airy. I saw one vlogger lose a pan when she tipped the pot over and it was pretty clear the pan was far more shallow than the size of the pot might lead you to believe. ETA: to be clear, I do not mean to imply that you should be hitting pan that quickly. I'm somewhere between fascinated and horrified that this happened.

I didn't think I was pressing too hard. I suppose I did. I didn't find this particular shade, Eye Candy, to be very pigmented, and I had to swipe a few layers to get it to show up and the sparkles to be even on my lid.  

The pan is really shallow. I compared what I saw to my other makeup, and the pan is as deep as a traditional dry shadow pan. If you run your finger around the plastic screw lines, starting at the top and do a quarter turn, that is about as deep as the pan is.

It may be that this particular color is a dud. I got so much color from a gentle swipe of Pop Rocks, but nothing with Eye Candy. I just went and examined them, and Eye Candy feels softer too.

I think I'm going to Macy's at lunch to get the Clinique GWP with the nude colors. I'm about 60% done with my cleansing balm, which is $28.50 and you need to spend $27 to get the gift, so that works perfectly, and I think the bags are cute.

I loved my NYX butter balm in ladyfingers, so I picked up macaroon today. Disappointing. It's not pigmented at all. Boo.

I hated my makeup all day, mostly because I pulled a temptalia and put four ColourPop products on my face. I looked like a box of Peeps threw up on me.

So I just washed and did it again even thought I am doing nothing tonight.

I love it so much that now I want to go out somewhere.

The challenges reminds me. I have an idea for one. It is a six or seven day challenge, depending on how we divide it up. Each day, your makeup should be themed around the colors of the rainbow.

Ultraviolet/silver

I should post pics when I'm done. Maybe you can all reassure me I don't have that much and need more.

I spotted these at Ulta yesterday. Was a little excited thinking maybe they would be like the sephora matte lip cream. I tried one and it didn't make it very long on my lips. So that was a bust for me. But I have major problems with wear time no matter what.

Have you tried the stila stay all day liquid lipstick? That stays on forever!!

I have one but haven't used it. I'll have to pull it out. It's red and I was going to wear a red lip this evening. Thanks for the reminder!
