I'll be in Baltimore/Annapolis/DC area for a week - June 8th-15th. I'm arriving the afternoon of the 8th, leaving early afternoon on the 15th, and the 14th (AM sometime) is my event. Other than that, I *literally* have no plans.
I'm staying in the Annapolis area (since that's where the event is) but I'm willing to travel a bit to see folks, if a different location works better for everyone else.
Sure! We may go visit my in laws then but if not, I'm game. I don't know annapolis that well but I'm sure there's a cute bar/restaurant down there we could meet at

Annapolis is a little too far for me to visit on a weekday, but if you're up for venturing closer to DC (maybe the Maryland burbs close to DC?) I would be interested in a happy hour or dinner, assuming I have childcare on those days.

I'm in this camp! I'll be out of town that weekend you're in town but could probably swing a HH any day M-Thurs.

I'm happy to venture closer to DC! I love the whole area, and like I said, I've got absolutely nothing to do while I'm there, so multiple GTGs are fine by me.

@vtcupcake, I'm staying at an AirBNB location. There's a possibility that you can crash there with me (but I'd obviously have to check with the host first).
I'm up for whatever. I love Annapolis and I live kinda halfway between there and dc and Baltimore so everywhere is equally convenient. when I'm on an actual computer and can type more I'll make some suggestions.
So I'm game for whatever. I could come down on the 14th and help smear lotion on us . I may have my son with me which will make things interesting. If anyone wants to join me, I'm about 2 hrs away from the race and have a guest room that would be available
SO! this is getting closer. Anybody want to make an actual plan so I can get something on my calendar and make sure I've got MH lined up to watch the kid? Annapolis has a ton of fun tasty places to eat if we wanna do a dinner some night during the week or something? And/Or maybe something on the MD side of DC? Could do something like Silver Springish and then the DC ladies can hop on the red line and the rest of us can drive pretty easily. Or like...national harbor? I'm less familiar with things that are metroable in PG, but that's equally easy for me to drive to.

Whoa, it is getting close! 3 weeks exactly until swim day. (WHA??)
Here's my availability: Breakfast/lunch/coffee in Annapolis - Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Mon (?) Dinner in Annapolis or DC - Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat (?) Something else - make a suggestion. LOL
DC ladies, let's pick a day/night! Annapolis/BWI ladies, are you wanting to GTG with the DC ladies too or would you rather have a separate GTG?
Also, if anyone wants to come watch the most boring competitive event ever, you're welcome to hang around - I'll be at the start from like 8-9am to noon and expect to finish around 2:30 or 3-ish. Apparently there's beer at the finish, although I don't know what the spectator availability/cost is.
Sunday night I'd be happy to hang around with people in the Annapolis area, but it would need to be pretty low key. I'm expecting to be both wiped and starving and possibly sunburned. If drinking were involved, I will not be able to drive at all (dehydration/exhaustion means I'd be an even easier drunk), so it would need to be reasonable taxi distance from my airbnb stay.
I am probably only available on Saturday and could do coffee/lunch/dinner, whatever. I may be able to do Thursday or Friday evening depending on my husbands work schedule which he doesn't have yet. I wouldn't be available until later (like 7) due to my work schedule. I'm in lets do brunch or lunch on Saturday. I can ask around for good places to go

I've learned that weekend is my cousin's graduation, so I have some family events I need to attend. I still want to GTG though! Don't plan around me, but I will come to a DC-area event if I can. I may be free Saturday afternoon or evening. If there's interest in meeting up in/near Silver Spring, I can suggest some options for location.
Argh life has been pulling me in other directions and I haven't responded like a jackass.
Okay.
I'm still totally in to crew/smear lotion/pour beer/etc for you on race weekend. All I need is a suggestion for a place to stay and where to be and when and I'm there. I'll be totally flexible for a DC/MD gtg.
You can stay with me. I'm probably about a 2 hr drive from The race though. I may be able to go down that day but not for long as I'll have DS. If you can't find a place closer you are welcome here!

You are amazing and I love you!
Aww shucks. I'm only an hour ish from Annapolis so maybe just a little more to the start of the race.
Also I was looking at my calender and I saw Gcbs on it and I was like fuuuuccckkkk what do I need to do that weekend. Oh no worries, just put the race on my calendar. Hopefully my husband doesn't work and I can come down Sunday!

AARGH! Maybe I still can finagle something for the weekend. My cousin and her teens will be in town, playing in a lacrosse tournament in hannahb's neck of the woods. I guess it will all depend on their schedule.
Otherwise, mrs.jacinthe, name an evening and I'll come your way. And of course, anyone else who could be in for dinner.

Lax splash?
Err, no idea. They're really good, lol. They're coming from Pittsburgh.
I'd offer up my NEWLY FURNISHED guest room (we had a busy memorial day weekend with lots of furniture rearrangement), but my mom is coming down that weekend so I can't.
I'm up for dinner any of those days in theory, and brunch/lunch Saturday (though I'd probably have my mama in tow...wouldn't be the first time I've randomly showed up to a GTG with her though. Just ask CEP.) So whatever gets planned just keep me in the loop and I'll probably be able to make it.
I don't know Annapolis well and maybe there's a better place but this place is good www.missshirleys.com/ The one in Baltimore gets packed so we may have to wait a bit. I'm open to other suggestions

OMG. That place looks like carbohydrate heaven. I wish we had the drooling emoticon right now.
I love miss Shirley's. The Annapolis one is pretty big so they handle groups well.
I asked the local nest FB group for recs because I've been out of the loop since I left my job down there 4 years ago and got the following:
Iron Rooster - opens at 7. Annnapolis Smokehouse - doesn't start brunch till 11 on Saturdays BarOak - Brunch starts at 10 Main Ingredient - opens at 7:30
Gorelick has a review of Iron Rooster in the Sun where he practically makes reservations for you he likes it so much, so there's that. I've had Main Ingredient catering before and was impressed, but I've never eaten at any of these places. BarOak and Iron Rooster are both right up my alley in terms of things I'll drool on, but any of them (or Miss Shirley's) look good to me.
