Omg I would love that! I have a pic from yest morning too still swollen but not nearly as bad. Let me know if you need anything else. I'm so curious to see what their opinion is thank you!!
No pain, no itching, not discolored in her eye ball, no fever, some goop but mostly clearish and eye lashes aren't crusty at all. She doesn't even touch it.
Oh my gosh that looks awful, poor L. I hope the antibiotics help with that. I rember my friends son had something like that happen when he was about two. I will text her and ask her what it was
My friend said her son had ocular cellulitis when this happened
Thank you for this! It sounds scary - did he recover ok?
Both doctor's mentioned this as a possibility but really nothing solid. The pedi said the antibiotics she gave her is usually what they give to treat that. So that makes me feel a little better. I just hate not knowing WHY her eye looks like this. I know it's just been a little over day, but it's so concerning.
Joyhart is going to have an eye doc her mom works with look at the pictures. I am thankful for that.
I also just called a pedi opthamologist to see what they recommend. She said to give the antibiotics 24 hours and call tomorrow if it's not any better. They were really nice and she even gave me her cell# because the doc is at the Children's hospital but off tomorrow. They would come in if I asked which is great seeing I have never even had contact with them before.

My immediate concern is cellulitis. I'm glad you have someone to call tomorrow if no improvement. i know that with cellultis in other areas they will recommend marking the edges of the redness so you can see if it is getting better or worse. Did anyone suggest that for you? Not sure if they would want you to since it's on her face. Maybe just one dot so that you can see if it is worsening?

The urgent care mentioned it could grow and to watch for it, but not making a mark - which makes sense to do. It def grew from yesterday morning to last night, especially below the eye. I just went out to make a mark and she had a fit, so my H is going to try to at least make a dot. Thanks for the info, that will be helpful and we keep taking pictures too.

Yeah, photos can definitely help to see if there is any progression. I'm sorry. This seems so scary.
carawestt Yes! She's been great. The doc think it looks like preseptal cellulitis which is common in kids, the augmentin is a good course of treatment. It's actually looking better. Not good but swelling down a bit. Here's a pic my H took before doc this morning and the just now.
