Do you ever have a fight and then get what you want in the end but because of the way it happened you can't even be happy or relieved that you got it? I really didn't want to go on a trip this year with DH because I'd have to store up a freezer stash for weeks and we can't really afford it and we were going to use my mom's timeshare but it sucks and she can't figure out how to book it. Dh brought it up at like midnight last night I was like "hey can we talk about this later? Its too late to think about this now." and now he says I make it too stressful and not fun so he doesn't wanna do it. *-) :^)
Pottery Barn said I could use my new neighbor 15% off on a rug that was on sale and when I went to pick it up they said no I wish I hadn't driven over there and that I could find a 9x12 chenille jute rug for less than $600. Target has one I like for $209 but it's 7x10 which is a bit small for the space.
This is a repeat from FB, but at dropoff V insisted that I read a book about fire trucks. He and his friend are so into fire trucks they kiss the pictures of firemen.
Then I had to read Down By The Bay, so that's stuck in my head. Thanks, Obama
This morning DH turned on the TV and DD yelled "XBOX GO TO NETFLIX"
She is 2...
its ok, my not quite 2 year old puts on DVDs for herself. And yesterday she came walking down the hall singing the theme to Daniel Tiger.
AJ demands his MOOMIE! (aka Pitch Perfect) every evening he and I are home alone together. And when it gets to commercials (I have it DVRed from when it was on ABC Family or something like that) he yells "Mote! Mote! MOTE!" until I get the remote and fast forward through said commercials. If I don't get up fast enough he runs around looking for the remote for me.

Have you checked Rugs USA? No idea what a chenille jute rug is, but they've got a ton of options and always have big sales. Thanks to our shitty dogs, our rugs are basically disposable, so we never spend more than $200.
All our rugs are from Rugs USA due to two little boys! They are great quality for the price. Plus I did get a PK rug once and returned it due to shedding.

I don't know what chenille jute vs "regular" (?) jute is but Pier 1 has some that are not awful, price-wise. We almost bought one but went a different direction.
I don't know about the pricing of jutes on Rugs USA, but we have a rug from there and it's great and was very affordable.
Chenille jute is supposed to be softer. I'm not dead set on it but since I love the look of jute rugs and dislike how rough some are I thought that blend was a good idea.
Just gotta get through today then I have a three day weekend! Monday is a holiday in GA...for get this, Confederate Memorial Day.
I really wish I could have been a fly on the wall at the meeting where the public employees' unions and the "Southern Heritage" lobbyists got together and decided this would be a good idea . How does that conversation go?
Union: we want another day off Racists: well, a lot of your members are black, but if you'll call the day off a memorial for Confederate soldiers, it's a deal!

I am having a FWP. I am WAH and the maids showed up late so I am stuck in the basement while they clean and I am freaking hungry. I just want to go up to the kitchen and eat something.

DS got a great hip report at the orthopedic surgeon today, he gets to be out of the harness for 4 hours a day for the next week, then 8 hours for a week, and so on. 5 weeks from now we will be done!
I start back at work Monday. Mixed feelings. I like my job and have been bored sitting at home, but I hate not being here with ds. I love his daycare and hopefully it all works out.
Lets see if I can make it the short-SHORT version:
Megan Heimer claims to be a doctor and lawyer. She is an anti-vaxxer who has a blog that is AT BEST of the mumbo-jumbo quackery variety. She has people that read her blog and kiss up to her A LOT and the tripe she posts is not peer-reviewed, to say it nicely.
She also monitored her blog's comments section HEAVILY and would delete any comments that were negative toward her. Once CEP got ahold of her blog they tore it up and she came here to CEP with I AM A LAWYER, I WILL SUUUUUUUUUUE type of drama, except she's a lawyer of the online law school variety, and no she won't.
The pedi's office recorded DS1's weight incorrectly. The paper we have is accurate (hand written) but the record online (which is what I assume is in the office) is not. It's off by 3 lbs. Would you bother saying anything? He (theoretically) won't have another appt for a year so I'm not sure it matters? (And now I see why he was coded as 9% for weight; he's not.)
BAMFMrsB I think she meant today's thread. Looks like someone parodied her on a blog and Megan threatened legal action?
I figured I should go back and check if that post blew up. And it did.
I caught the 1st page before the 1st post was DD'd. So I got all that. Now Pixy and others are suggesting the OP is FauxDocMeg acting like a trolling parody blog writer of FauxDocMeg's origiinal blog.
We have been having epic tantrums today, so I took her outside to play hoping the sunshine would help. I took a big cup of iced tea for myself. My dog decided to use it as a water bowl when I set it down for a minute. Today is not my day.
