The girls' room is a disaster zone. I have ten loads of laundry to fold. The entire house needs to be tidied up and organized and everything needs to be cleaned.
Just stopped by my neighbor's house and it was SPOTLESS. She has four kids ages one to six. How is it possible?? Her house is sheer perfection and she does it all by herself. Yes, I'm jealous.
Let's just say that I started my day by finding a baked potato on my doorstep. It appears to be bad enough that it is making its way out the front door.
Okay, it isn't THAT bad but it I would need a good 30 minutes of cleaning before I was comfortable having company over.
Not counting the kitchen? It's okay. I put most of his toys away to cut down on dinnertime distractions. We ate takeout on paper plates last night, so we're on top of dishes.

I've decided my house is too small to ever be much cleaner than a 5. We just don't have the space to put everything away.
We had nb pics today at the photographers house and it was so ridiculously clean and organized and decorated. (She is obviously very creative). Made me feel like I live in a dorm. Sighhhhhh
One floor is pretty spotless because I did hardcore cleaning on Sunday and am trying to keep it that way. The other floor is a disaster. The family room literally looks like a tornado went through it.
also above average. I've been in a cleaning mood the past couple of days. every speck of laundry is done except for what DH and I are wearing. the house is relatively picked up and tidy and clean, but could use a good deep cleaning (dusting all of the little corners, wiping down the walls, windows and sills, baseboards, mopping, bathrooms, etc). I just need to dust and sweep real quick but it'll take me 15 minutes or less, and change the dishwasher.
scale of 1-10, 1 being hoarder and 10 being magazine ready, I'd say I'm about a 6. stuff is out, you can see some clutter, but I'm not embarrassed to have people over. it's usually about a 4.
It's pretty bad but I could make it better in less than 20 minutes. There is a wig on my couch and pajama pants in the kitchen so things are kind of out of hand. I hope I get motivated to put up laundry but I can't promise that.
Disclaimer: Our house is on the market, so it's clean 99% of the time. So stressful!
My usual response would be "very." I like to tell myself that I follow the "Don't mind the mess, we're busy making memories" mantra...but really, I'm just lazy.
Since our nanny quit- a big, fat disaster. Toys piled up everywhere, books and magazines on any surface out of DS's reach. The only place I've been able to keep up is the kitchen (cooking, wiping down surfaces, washing dishes). Oh, and I swiffered DD's room today while DS napped.

There are toys scattered everywhere, and the kitchen counters have stuff piled on them. However, I could get the entertaining areas cleaned up in 30 minutes or so. That is my regular goal. I don't even try to get bedrooms and office cleaned up on a regular basis (that's what doors are for!).
Lol, you saw my mess of a closet earlier! Our bedroom is a disaster right now with piles of clothes everywhere. Our kitchen and bathroom are pretty clean since they get mopped and wiped down daily. Our living room has toys strewn all over, but could be tidied up fairly quickly.
We almost never have people over since we're crammed into a one bedroom apartment, but when we do, I usually just shut the bedroom door and don't give guests access to see that mess.

Bed is made, laundry folded and put away, dishes done. But living room looks like a toy store threw up. Once DD goes to bed I'll spend a few min putting that tornado of a room back in order and then it won't be too bad. Floor could stand to be vacuumed but meh.

very bad, my daughter dumped an entire bag of tortilla chips into the dishwasher before I had to leave for afternoon activities. Now it is evening routine time. I am so damn tired I might leave until tomorrow morning.
Very. I would have said somewhat, but someone posted on the PIP Living room thread on ML "excuse the mess" and if that's messy, my house should be condemned.
My toddler just dumped one of those big Rubbermaid totes full of ball pit balls all over my bedroom. So....
My entryway, living room, and powder room are spotless! (Because I'm teaching tonight....lol)
The rest of my house is a disaster. I have two loads of laundry to fold and one more that still needs to go in the washer tonight. My room needs to be vacuumed, the boys room has books strewn all over, our master bath is gross, there are toys all over the playroom, and the guest bed is still made up with the sheets from when my sister visited two weeks ago and her towels are laying on top of them. So I guess that's another load of laundry.
