Oh, my god. Two days. I've been at this job two days and they let me go. They refused to give me a reason. They wouldn't even answer my questions. I quit my previous job for this one! I have nothing to fall back on.
As i was leaving one of the receptionists pulled me aside and told me that they had already hired my replacement.
I'm seriously at a loss. BF and I just started renovating our house. Everything seemed like it was so well. I just don't know what to do.
I know you guys don't know me that well, but I really needed to get this out.
It sounds like perhaps the person they really wanted for the position finally got back to them and unfortunately, they dumped you to get them.
I'm so sorry. : (
Yeah, two days and they have a replacement lined up tells me it really isn't you and that they're a shitty company to work for.
Later you'll realize you dodged a bullet. But for not I think you can have a few drinks and feel sorry for yourself before you kick the job search and networking into gear.
I had this happen to me right out of college. I was choosing between 2 jobs and they gave me everything I asked for to hire me and I accepted. They let me go a month later when I wasn't even out of training yet or started the actual job. They hired the owners friend as my replace since she recently lost her job.
OMG I am so sorry thats terrible. I also agree with the PP that maybe they were hasty in hiring you and though someone else was going to pass on the position. Really crappy that they didn't give you any reasoning even if it was an excuse, some type of pacification would have been better then none and just letting you go *smh* I also think they could have given you a little bit of notice considering you left a position to come to that one, totally disrespectful. Hope you finding something else soon.

I'm so sorry.
Did you leave your last job on good terms? Any chance you can call them and ask for your job back? A former co-worker left for a new position, and after 3 days on the new job, called our boss, begged for forgiveness and got her old job back. Super awkward...but that was 5 years ago, and she's still working there.

This. I'm so sorry you lost your job. A few people have left my firm and then come back.

Sped, she was being shitty. She's an asshole.
I already spoke with my old boss and there's a really good chance I'll get my old job back. However, my old job sucked so much ass. But I'll take what I can get at this point. I'm just feeling pretty hopeless.

I realize how frustrating and disappointing this is, but I think you just dodged a bullet if they suck this hard. I'm glad you can get your old job back.

Absolutely dodged a bullet. It seems like the worst possible thing right now... but fast forward a few weeks and you'll realize that they did you a favor.
