White girls get extensions. Can we get loans on those?
I think that's why the girl on the flyer is white. They are saying they don't discriminate. Bring a check stub and and a gas bill and you can get weaved up within the day.
Please lawd don't let this be real! I'm reading all of their tweets now...it looks like you can get approved for up to $400. I just can't...this is some next level shit
*record scratch* $400? That's not going to do it. My friend is paying like $500 for the hair alone. I thought The Weave Loan Store was making dreams come true. I guess not.
Right?! And are they just loaning you the hair and not covering the cost of putting it in??

It was coming. First you could finance your rims, now your weave. I shudder to think what could possibly be next.
Also, I assume they can't come repo your weave, so what happens if you don't pay?
It's a non-collateral loan, which is what any payday loan is. They just charge marginally exorbitant interest rates instead. No biggie!
Seriously, the fee will be something like $15 for every $100 borrowed, for a 2 week period. Most lenders will have some kind of basic requirement, like you have to be employed, paid twice a month/every other week, and make a minimum amount, usually $1000/month. After 2 weeks, you pay back the, say, $200 you borrowed, but with $30 for the interest/fee. But if you can't afford it, you can just roll over the loan. Great. Except they charge you another fee for another 2 weeks. So now you owe $260 at the end of 4 weeks on the original $200. This can go on and on, and you can be charged $15/$100 every 2 weeks for as long as you don't pay the loan in full, which can sometimes equal a 400% APR.
If you can afford to pay $50 one week, great. But they still tack on more fees and it doesn't touch the principle. So they actually make more money if you just pay the "minimum" every other week.

Sooo, that's not the place for her to venture out too.
I mean it depends, but her destination would have to be pretty far out for it to be ok, and I'm guessing it's not in a far off suburb or it would have said.
I'm actually going to look up the cross streets now.
ETA: Yep, that's a no. It's close to the border of Southfield but there is no way an out of towner should be venturing there on their own. Sorry @songforyou. Sorry! gazpacho!

In the words of the great philosopher Shaggy, wasn't me. If there's one thing you guys do not have to worry about, it's me roaming aimlessly around the D to report back to CEP for you guys' amusement. I'm good lol!

I had a weave once for a vacation to Greece. It was all bad. I don't remember the cost, this was in the 90s lol. I do remember being kind of wtf about the cost and I don't even think mine was that great. And I ended up cutting it out before I got home. Anyway, my friend wears a "natural" style weave. It's gorgeous. She pays close to $500 for the hair and that's not even including the installation (which she tried explaining to me, but I got lost somewhere around the word "closure"). I don't remember the cost of that, but I do remember saying, "That's high as hell!" Anyway, I wanted in, because she swims at the gym several times a week and still shows up at get-together like she woke up like that, but damn that. I don't know, maybe if I had a Weave Loan Store in my area, I could make it pop.
Lawd jesus these prices are making me hot. I will admit that I spend a lot of money when I get my hair braided. Because my hair is long and I like to use human hair because the other makes my scalp itch. But that is why I rarely get my hair braided. I could not be paying those prices on the regular. Can you re-use the hair? I feel like I need to see pics.
My friend reuses her weave. She paid about $500 for it when she was a struggling actress. She saw it as an investment. Lol. I don't think she would reuse it if she had the funds to regularly pay for more hair bur she says it's common to reuse weave.
