They're so big now. The roses will probably go once the hydrangeas have reached a size that can cover the ugly fence. I wish we had gone with 3 blue ones, instead of the purple-y pink one on the right. I like the way the blue ones' foliage spreads out.
Are the blue ones the Endless Summer hydrangeas? What fertilizer do you use?
I honestly do not remember what kind they are. I do know we used EB Stone organic sure start fertilizer when we planted them, but aside from that, all we do is spread bark mulch over the area every year.
ETA: Nevermind, looked on our nursery's site and they're endless summer. The pink one is a pistachio hydrangea.
Some tiny strawberries! I also have some tomato plants, bell peppers, and broccoli as well as a bunch of herbs. I have some flowers that seems to be doing well too, but my ranunculus gave me a few blooms and then have up the will to live.
We cut back on tomatoes this year because I don't have the time/desire to make sauce.
I didn't know this, but if you don't have time to make sauce during the summer glut, apparently you can throw them in the freezer and sauce them later!

I've done that in past years but this year my extra freezer is full of milk instead!

I went to the nursery and got a couple more tomatillo plants, because the ones I had had in cups were basically dead. When I got home I moved Zoe's kiddie pool, as I was putting her wagon away, and there were a bunch of pots behind it! Looks like I'm going to need more soil!
tomato, beans, and cucumber trellis! Still not completely done, need to put twine hanging down and actually start putting plants on it, but it was hot as balls out there by the time I was done with this and Declan should be waking up soon. Will AW more when the plants are all strung up on it.
