Maybe it's because of my bigfoot PNW upbringing, but I don't see vegetarianism as a restrictive diet at all. Vegan or gluten free? Yeah, those are way tougher.
I see no problem with walking and saying, "Which is the vegetarian option?". Once the rep realizes he screwed up, it won't happen again ever. Think of it as your own personal PSA for the day.
Do you really feel oppressed about the presence of vegetables?
There is some kind of vegetable on all "regular" panera sandwiches, even if it's just a leaf of lettuce.
Uh, no. I really don't. Nor did I ever indicate that I do.
omg I am so so so confused right now. I'm being silly with use of the word oppressed and I thought you were kidding entirely when you said you'd have no lunch unless it was meat sandwiches.
The only things worth reading in this post were the following:
1) Baggie of Sausage 2) "Throw it in my mouth for ten points!" 3) Meat Juice.
some of you need to simmadown. OP dealt with this just fine. That is all.
This pretty much sums it up.
You bitches are tough today. I've cried at my desk for far less.
I teared up when someone took my fruit once and then my principal brought me her banana because she felt bad. I suspect she was the original fruit taker. lol
I am pretty 8-D that so many people are suggesting that she loudly comment about a vegetarian option in front of the rep. Yes, it was not very thoughtful of the rep to consider other dietary needs, but to me that would be flat-out rude and I would be embarrassed for my company if one of my co-workers did that.

sigh
If there are vegetables (lettuce, tomato, etc) on a sandwich, I can pick them off. meat/bread/cheese = yum, and still a lunch.
If there is nothing but veggie sandwiches and salads, there is nothing for me to eat but bread. Bread is not a lunch.
I don't eat meat sandwiches at every meal or anything.
I truly don't get how this is confusing.
It isn't any more!!! Thank you. I thought you were comparing having to pick lettuce off because you don't care for it to having to pick meat off it because you're vegetarian.

You have it mixed up. It was flat out rude for the rep to bring lunch with no veg option. That is a FACT.
I am LOL at the entire thred! Who knew it would be this amazing after a couple hours of kid room de-cluttering.
