Where we currently live we're smack dab in the middle. Where we're moving in two weeks we're at the very low end of middle. Neither of those is a surprise.

I am the opposite of most people though, I generally feel like I am higher than middle class even when our income was low. Between our parents both being well off and giving us money and having high levels of education it feels a little weird to say I am middle class. My parents bought me a new car in cash for my graduation, that feels rich to me.
well thats because you have money that isn't counted by this calculator. We are the same way. We live well above our income.

I wonder how you would place if you factored in the money you get from your parents as part of your HHI?

Not middle class for the county we live in now. Smackdab in the middle of middle class for the two counties I used to live in (and we'd prefer to live in if we could afford it).

Nope, not with HHI. The middle class range is 68K - 203K, which is umm odd. I know 60K qualifies you for affordable housing.203K is a lot of money to make to be considered middle class.
For my actual county I am above Middle class, however the section of the county where I live is very different from the rest of it. I also ran the numbers for two counties surrounding me which are more realistic to where I live and I am solidly middle in both of those.

I find the $203k funny since the slider only goes up to $200k. So anyone trying to use their calculations would be middle class, no matter how much they made. lol

Yeah, I thought that was odd too. In fact, I first looked at it and was like OH i am middle class lol. Then realized wait no I couldn't put in my real HHI ha ha
